    I would have thought a Christian atheist is one who doesn't believe God exists but acts as though he does.

    For all of you who don't like his words, video or title... why don't you write a book or books, build a following through obedience to God, dedicate your life to living as such, make numerous videos, stand up to the criticism and love those who criticize you during the whole process and then see if those who are seeking real answers follow you! The bottom line is Pastor Craig doesn't have to answer to you, me or anyone (unwillingly) but to God, the creator, who by the way, created YOU!

      I was a minister for 25 years. I finally realized that I am atheist. I now consider doubt as a virtue, especially when seeking truth. I was asked to serve as a deacon in my church, even after I told them that I do not believe in miracles, and that faith is not a way to truth.

    I was always rebellious and from. What I get out of Christian ATHIEST are the one who came into the world feeling like we're raised in hell.. had my whole life w out a father- had a period where my mother left after dropping me off at the fair..so even tho I believed.. I felt so much anger why even bring me into this world I'd rather not be thought of!! It's hard to overcome the life of being raised with alcohol and drugs.. BUT LIKE CRAIG SAID- I NEVER KNEW JESUS AT ALL. I AM NOW IN MY 30'S I BEEN TRYING SO HARD TO BE FORGIVEN! MY LIFE WAS A MESS AND CRAIG IS THE 1ST TO HELP ME FIND PEACE AND FORGIVENESS WITH JESUS! I AM FEELING MY TRANSFORMATION WITH MY THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS. I PRAY EVERYONE COMES TO THE THE CHRISTIAN ATHIEST WITH COMPASSION!!! THE SPIRIT OF EMPATHY!!!

    I got into it until he started judging, I think God is ot about rules, he clearly showed us that in the New Covenant, it is not about rules, do not judge atheists that way, I used to be one, in fact I feel I am still a bit atheist.

    • @misspriss2482
      @misspriss2482 3 роки тому +1

      It's not about rules, but God has standards of behavior. There are things that He considers sin. The pastor isn't judging; he is telling you that some things are unacceptable to God. In order to follow God in a way that pleases Him, we need to know what those things are. We cannot say that we want to live for God but then do whatever we want.

    You have the definition of Christian atheism wrong: A Christian atheist is one who believes in the message of Jesus, but not in the supernatural aspects made up around it by the church.

    • @hjeffwallace

      That's what some idiot dictator said about religion: "an opiate (heroin) for the masses". That's not the reason why Christianity is the biggest religion in the world, just to make the masses "feel good". The ministry of Jesus was mainly concerned with bringing the "kingdom of heaven" down to earth (in a spiritual sense). A kingdom were righteousness dwells in the hearts of man. Looking at the world today, the kingdom could do with expanding out to the heathen, Islamic, and non Christians nations. The muslims believe in blowing themselves up in the false belief that they will end up in heaven after an act of terrorism. Christianity teaches the opposite. It's the belief of bringing the heavenly realm DOWN to earth (spiritually speaking), so heaven and earth overlap with each other producing a "heavenly earth" of righteousness.

    Should probably swap the words around. He seems to be talking about THEISTS... that are “kind of” Christian. I think a Christian atheist is someone who actually doesn’t believe in a god but follows Christian rituals and values participation in that religious community... maybe because that’s the community he/she grew up in.

      @@notbob8252 Nope, but because in order to create life in a laboratory, what would they start with? Material created by God. There's an old joke that plays into this. God and a scientist are debating about who can create a man. When the scientist reaches down, God tells him: get your own dirt. Same premise. Even if a scientist can create life in a laboratory, they would have to start with something that they don't have the power to create: an ovum and sperm. Just a thought.

    Atheist Christian doesn't exist. Either you are a Christian, or an atheist. Can't be both. But there is a lukewarm Christian; Revelation 3:15-16
    15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. (v1)
    16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue the out of my mouth.
    V1 And unto the angel of the church in Sar´-dis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest , and art dead.

      Robbie,
      I want to thank you for sharing something so personal. This is an example of how God is using you! Jesus came for the wounded, the sick, the misunderstood, the broken, and the hurting. He chose His disciples, and all of us imperfect followers. Yes, He loves us and wants to save us all!
      “even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief. Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”-and I am the worst of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.”

      We serve a God who can not be told, he has to be revealed.

    Although I understand the message conveyed, it is misleading to represent it through this title. In essence it is an oxymoron because a Christian is a follower of Christ and has the belief of God, an atheist is one who either disbelieves or lacks a belief in God or any higher governing power. The matter of someone who claims belief in God and lives without regard to God more closely resembles the faith without works and works without faith. Also, that as a follower of Christ it is the responsibility to live as a bond servant, that our life is no longer our own, but belongs to God.

    • @SaReborn
      @SaReborn 9 років тому +5

      anramos9 You are somewhat correct but that is the point. Titles in any of there forms are supposed to be attention grabbing (which this one does for anyone who has an idea about Christians or atheists). And the point of it was to be an oxymoron because those things also make people do double takes. The title has done its job well.

      The title is repulsive at how stupid it sounds. It's not an oxymoron, it is plainly a logical contradiction. If you are atheist, you cannot call yourself Christian, likewise if you are christian, please don't offend us actual atheists by saying something as idiotic as "christian atheist". Pick up some books on philosophy and stop being so epistemically irresponsible.

  • @teachpeace3750

    Yeah, that's not what Christian Atheism is, lol. A Christian Atheist is someone who follows the ethical teachings of Jesus, but doesn't believe in supernaturalism. You can't simply take a historical term which has meaning and redefine it to mean something completely different, that is called Nominalism.

    this meaningless marketing-catch should simply be "ignorant christian" or even simpler "unpracticing christian"
    christian atheist is a christian without the bullshit of faith .. everything is the same, but the reading and understanding is different, just faithless, and yes! .. the biblical story was all right and correct to begin with; but then primitive mind wrapped that with magical muthical explanation as such that the original story starts to be put backward at the background and the mythical wrap moves forward as though *that* is the story!!
    so christian atheist rereads this story and clean them up from the faith-based irrationality, and hold the universal truth of the story
