it looks even better with a multicolor monitor
For sure but, this is how I best remember my experience with the apple II 😅 we did have colour monitors in school, you had to be quick to get to them first though 😂
@@ideilmana It has 16 colours! (In low rez graphics mode) this is just a monochrome monitor!
you are right with saying 16 colours as it is on a hardware level. But two of those colours are an identical shade of grey stored as 2 different colours. i forget the technical reason why two of the colours are the same grey. @@ashtonsretrocomputerroom

did you know there was a program that made the disk drive output funny sounds deliberately?
Reminds me of of my first computer class, 8th grade, 1981-82 - they taught us what a loop was & how dangerous it was so we'd know what to look for - then we'd write them, load them in other people's computers when they weren't looking, and laugh.

For anyone curious about the floppy drive sound, Apple decided to save money on these drives by not including a sensor or stop switch for the head, so a startup the computer couldn’t be sure what track it was on. Apple floppy disks had 40 tracks, so the easiest way to ensure the drive was on track 0 at the start of the disk was just to send 39 step commands. The sound is the head knocking from all the extra steps past track 0.
@@Efflorescentey It's Apple, planned obsolescence has always been their game
I can still feel the excitement of writing batch files and simple scripts. You were still very much apart of computing. Now its just a freaking mess, the developers have all the fun.

My high school got a lab of these IIe computers back in fall of ‘83. :)
I can’t believe you managed to hack this terminal without reloading a quick save
I love the vintage machines. The sounds the smells, the simplicity, all of it
You can tell it has to be from 1979. Just look at the price for a glass of lemonade, 5¢ now it's probably $5.00 for a glass now lol
@@phoenixtarot1228 Lemonade Stand was developed in 1973 and used originally on Mainframe computers. The Apple version was released in 1979.
@@MrTruck1012You're missing the bigger picture. Why do the rich take everything you make and give you nothing? Because it's not just Biden doing that...
My God - that took me straight back to my childhood. I hadn't heard the Lemonade Stand intro in decades!
こんな時代もありました。
Man these graphics are insane!
Sound of keyboard is so satisfying
why do old apple keyboards sound so much better than modern day mechanical keyboards
No lagging... Perfect
We had one of those in middle school
Super dope, fun look into an era I missed. I mostly remember the imac G3 from elementary school. I think i was in 5th grade when my school got them around 98-99.
This keyboard sound like a modern mechanical keyboard
Because it is, most computers used to have mechanical keyboards before membrane keyboards became popular because of their price
We bought an Apple IIc at Micro Center and this game came with the computer. This brought back a lot of memories.
ha ha ha i played this back.in high school days...51yrs old now..things changed but that whirring and sound brings back some great.old memories...
Clearly you played it too much in highschool judging by your atrocious grammar, you didn't pay any attention to school.
Сейчас это конечно выглядит смешно и нелепо, но для 79 года такой ПК это просто бомба.
Remind me of those missile silo control rooms where they use those big 💾. I miss those big old computers that played music to you. I think the prodigy computer did that.
truest pc technician ❤
another wall of nostalgia thrown at me :D
now make game about that classic fallout hacking mechanic
I really love the look of the old computers
"Yo are you gonna hop on your PS4 after school?"
"nah"
One of my favorite games to play in school other than Oregon Trail (when I wasn’t programming my own or sneaking in a copy of ‘Castle Smurfenstein’). Also, never heard “Summertime” before and it blew my mind the first time I was introduced to the music of Janis Joplin because I instantly recognized the tune!
Ah yes...I remember this from fallout...
i like how some old computer like these sound like they have a mini ak-47 that shoots a full round when it turns on
This just unlocked a 40 year old memory that I didn't know I had. Nice!
i love it when you put in the floppy disk and start up the machine it sounds like a machine gun
Wow, That Brings Back Memories. I Used To Play That Game Everyday 🍋🍏
My memory came back when hearing the keyboard sound.
behold the mighty floppy disk
What science level do I need to be to get that in the terminal
Grandfather still wants an apple computer 😅
The sound.... So good... The disk, the process, the keyboard even the speaker...
Wow😮. You are lucky to have a working computer from the 80s!
this is an apple 2e released in january 1983. original apple 2 are hard to find as most were upgraded to apple plus and just werent as popular due to lack of colour killer and some colours.@@yoshigang-official

That boot up sound...ahh...core memory unlocked
A simpler time, before the INSANITY of TikTok and social media
Those were the days. I miss my first computers.
Dosent have any ads or transactions. Far better than most games today
Woow this computer is older than me😮
I never, ever thought I'd hear "antique computer".
In 1979 I was just 10 years old.
This was filmed in the north of england, where flat caps and 1980s technologies are still current.

nice to see another older apple still working. i have an apple IIc still. plus an old coco2.
This game looks even better than modern day games ngl
This old pc is still so satisfying

That looks so awesome and the setup is extremely retro love everything about this video
I'm from 1977 , Remember playing game on ATARI ST Computer in 1989 , sound card, graphic card , mouse i was WOW amasing ! 100 games on a 1.44 MB floppy disc !!!
First time I played lemonade stand was in first grade. My school built a computer room with a bunch of Commodore 64’s, and once a week we would go for a class period to play games like Oregon Trail and Lemonade Stand.
Esto se ve simplemente legendario! 😎👌🏼
Es increíble como al pasar de los años lo retro se vuelve tan valioso y aún más para los que lo vivieron!
This has to be the weirdest retro pc i have ever seen... And i love it
Lol...I cant believe I forgot about the clackity clack clack clack when you start it up. That braught back grade school memories
Thank you for the wonderful memories. These computers were all we had at Cross Lutheran Elementary school. This and O'dell Lake are the only ones I remember from so long ago.
And I still miss all my 5th grade classmates.
My heart did a few extra beats upon hearing that sound, so familiar from 80-90 era speakers, ah those times and games.
Just the insertion of the 5" floppy was *chef kiss*
Ah yes, the lemonade game with the banana song
Bro's got the first macintosh ever made ☠️
Still more reliable than any version of MS Windows.
Dude. I swear I remember playing that game. Such nostalgia
In 1980, this Apple IIe with dual drives was the computer I lusted after but could never afford.
In some ways- that was the golden age of computers
OMG…. I remember. In 1987 I worked in TWA reservations sales. We had those big beige box monitors and clunky keyboards. The greenish screen and print still haunts my memory.
Oh, my highschool computer class memories are coming back.😂😂😂
I'd absolutely love a few asmr vids with these computers. The technical sounds and the keyboard sound great.
OMG!!!! Brought back some serious memories!!!!!
Love your videos
It's all fun and games until a Duck walks to the Lemonade stand.
Makes me wish I still had my 80286 I had in '87.
That startup sound takes me back....

This game seemed like futuristic wizardry in 1979.
Ah the good old Apple llc that brings back memories of course I used a old colored TV for the monitor.
Awwwe the clicking of an old keyboard, gotta love it.
Wow, that brings up some OLD memories.

totally agree. Today's games is all about graphic resolution and money but they are very lacking in story telling and gaming experience imo.
I got the same feeling with today's movies too, always the reharshed products and franchising instead of original touch while they destroyed the original version.
the graphics is all fine and dandy, but it feels empty for me, like it's missing a soul
