This ingredients is a jack of all and master of none. As a solo agent, may not be very effective but in combination it works well. It is a well tolerated ingredient which can be used by all skin types

I'm using niacinamide twice daily and weekly twice salicylic acid serum since 2 month but I started to see my skin getting duff and tan or darker. I do have acne pore skin seems like i got into acne breakout since a month. I do use moisturizer and suncream daily when i got out in daylight i use spf 50 otherwise spf 20
the ingredients don't suit your skin, may be?
You can use Alpha arbutin acid serum instead of Salicylic acid serum. Alpha Arbutin in the morning and niacinamide on the evening.
