Bon Scott is not only the singer, but is the one writing the lyrics too. He was a true Rocker not a poser !
Honestly there's not a bad song on Let There Be Rock. It's definitely one of their strongest albums.
I don’t think there are any bad songs off the Bon era at all. All are Gems
@@shonchon588 Exactly. Bon was a different breed.
I’m with you man, this album was killer, from start to finish! Jailbreak 74’ and Highway To Hell are right up there with this album, in my opinion!
It's they're greatest album by far all killer no filler
ONE???
I love Brian Johnson but Bonn Scott R.I.P. he is still my favorite AC/DC singer.
Same here. I have absolute love for Brian, but Bonn was the man!
Much respect to Brian Johnson... but I wish I could upvote this 1000 times.
Love your Bon Scott journey! I'm tickled with how much you've come to love them as much as us old timers. Check out their High Voltage album.
thanks
For those about to rock! My favorite ac dc song
In concert Angus the guitar player got on his body guard carry him around the arena while playing his solo then drop him off on the stage then Angus Moon the crowd best time of my life.
He mooned us to in 1983. Loved it.
I was 6 years old strutting around the house while my Dad jammed AC/DC High Voltage, If You Want Blood, and Let There Be Rock. Even then, this music spoke to me. NO ONE is grimier, rougher, more ass-kicking than this band. This is Rock and Roll in its purest form! All Hail AC/DC. There would be no Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Megadeth, and/or Metallica without them! \m/
the shear electricity their music brings is epic! back in school days listening to this before football games sure got you where you needed to be!
Our HS mascot was a Viking. We used to invite him to our pregame festivities. Between the beer & AC/DC he never disappointed on game day.🍺🏈
@@NYCBOISEFAN that mascot would've fit in perfectly with our football team 8).
One of the best song of the AC\DC....in one of the best albums !!!! BON on fire !!!
Think this ones dope, lol, anxiously waiting for the Powerage album then.
You are right! This is marching music. I was a tank commander in the gulf 3rd Armor div. and this is the shit that helped us stay alive! Full on Im getting you before you get me!
Finally someone does the studio version! I think this is my favorite of this album, but the whole thing rocks.
this album is fire
"It was the seventh day I was the seventh son" combined with the dual rhythm guitars of Malcom and Angus is simply overpowering
Cannot believe I may never have heard this before. If I have I doubt I heard it since I was a kid discovering Bon Scott AC/DC in the early to mid 80's, well after he had gone. Heard the song title but do not remember hearing this.
AC/DC in his period were just out of this world , raw and awesome hard rock.
Check out "what's next to the moon" off of ACDC's Powerage album. Actually anything from that album is awesome
My favorite band growing up, Bon scott ac/Dc is my favorite. I have been rockin out for 40 years to this. Here are some suggestions from a veteran listener. Overdose, down payment blues, riff raff, love hungry man, rock n roll damnation, whole lotta Rosie, walk all over you, live wire, shot down in flames and night prowler. They really don’t have any bad songs. New sub here ready to watch you go down the Bon scott highway. Great job man keep jamming.
If you want blood! A must listen AC/DC song!
hell yeah let's boogie lol. you will love this. Thanks. It is an awesome album.
Ah love to see people listen to the original singer Bon...enjoy.
You should hear this off their live album, If You Want Blood, you'll love the whole album, AC/DC at their best
That strong rhythm you hear, is due to the brilliance of Malcom Young, On this Album I believe Bon, Malcom and Angus wrote all the songs.
Yes! Often overlooked.
Bon, Malcolm & Angus wrote the songs on all the albums.
In an interview, Angus said Let There Be Rock is his favorite AC/DC album.
Good to see you enjoying this fabulous album. So much variety in this and in early AC/DC songs. Great writing, great musicianship, having fun with the lyrics and just creating tremendous songs that have certainly stood the test of time
Angus tickles the guitar and knows how to make it sing. Such groove...such swing...such soul!
This album is excellent. The followup album is Powerage. The Young brothers have been quoted as saying that's their personal favorite if they had to choose. You'll enjoy.
You have taken the time to comment n not just that U have taken the time to listen to a true geniuous,.. a god in rock'n'roll history , I'm not going to piss in your pocket, I have been a Bon Scott fan from the age of 10 when everyone listening to kiss n all that crap. But then Bon come along n just rocked my soul n always have! I hope U discover more
Bon Scott was a whole different animal all together. Different mind-set and personality
These boys were driven.
Bon Scott's voice was as unique as his lyrical subjects and compositions. He could put to words the good and bad harsh realities of life.
Biz, I've been a recognized historian of rock and roll and am going to start writing about this on a blog then into a book.
These guys were the epitome of a rock n roll BAND! No solo work, only BAND work. Each person bringing in their own precious gem to the studio. Each person choosing his gem and letting Angus sonically build a castle of sound that echoed the lyrics of Bon.
Not even the Beatles were as tight as these guys. They were so musically tight because their hearts, not their egos, were being offered to the music they were creating. Bon and Angus were the frontmen but all of the members were of equal value and skill.
In any group, there has to be a leader or influencer, as i call it, in order to get some thing done. In this case, Bon and Angus, though got more camera time but they were all equal members of a band or group so one can say that they were leaders among equals. Kind like the old 3 Musketeer saying, "All for one and one for all."
Keep up the awesome work, bruh!

You need to listen and review the live version from the 1978 album "If You Want Blood, You've Got It." It's on a whole 'nother level. Especially, Malcolm's rhythm (which is the best part of AC/DC anyway).
BTW, if you notice, this is a 2-chord "progression", with a LOT of 1-chord banging that is cool because of the rhthym.
Someone else said it, but that hard driving rhythm is Malcolm Young, Angus’ older brother. Love this album.
Malcolm is insane... just so good
I have watched all of your acdc reactions and I hear and feel you on every reaction. Brought me back to my first time and in some cases every time I hear these songs. Thank you. Thought you and anyone else who loves the Bon era, they might want to check out Mark Kozelek's folk covers of ACDC. You will be amazed. Rock n roll singer and riff raff are excellent as well as the others.
Blues rock. You can't beat it. Love the instrumentation.
Bon was an absolute genius with lyrics.
Bon Scott wrote the lyrics. Then Angus and Malcom come in with those guitars. A powerful combination, and a great hidden gem AC/DC song that doesn't get enough credit. 10/10 imo.
G’day mate, matt from Australia. I just subscribed. Mate, it doesn’t matter who you are? A great band is just a great band. Rock on brother 😎👍
Thanks for the sub!
"I'm a bad boy, I don't google shit" ha ha haaa that was awesome
Bon was the lyricist for AC/DC during his time, he did lyrics and the young’s did the music. There were a couple very early songs that the young’s wrote like “can I sit next to you”, and a few others that Bon retooled into his own style with new ones like “little lover”, but you can mostly just say bon did lyrics and the young’s did music. He was always writing stuff down, he had notebooks he carried around in case inspiration came to him
Scripture from da book of Biz! 🤘
😂🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
I’ve been a fan of these guys since 1987 and I never heard this song. Nice man. Thx for rocking me out to this!
My favourite AC/DC album. Great track after great track. And it's my favourite sounding AC/DC album too. The perfect blend of rawness and power.
Enjoying your journey through their best album, make sure you listen to crabsody in blue which was on the original vinyl release later dropped for Problem child, Overdose is supposed to start side 2.
Bon wrote the lyrics, rocknfuckingroll.
thanks and bon is a great lyricist
So good to see reactions from the Bon Scott era. Thanks, man!
No problem!
Bon was a poet. Brian Johnson has said as much, literally. Bon was an ace writer and frontman.
My first time seeing AC/DC was in 1978 when they opened for Alice Cooper. One hell of a show and Bon kicked ass
Awesome, love Bon Scott .Also
Check out "Skunk Anansie" when ya get the chance.
They're BEST Album . Good Stuff ..
Lyrics are all Bon❤️ Entire album written by just him, Malcolm and Angus. I hope you eventually watch all the live videos of these with Bon🔥🔥🔥 I literally have a youtube playlist of just live AC/DC performances😂
I think the only one written by Angus was " Problem Child ". If you watch the concert " Let There Be Rock Live In Paris 1979 " he says it was from Angus.
Gotta love Mal’s backing vocals though. The greatest rhythm guitarist of all time was also the most underrated backing vocalist...
@@greatdelusion7654 So true!!
@@greatdelusion7654 yup
thats so dope, they are explosive live
The live version of "Bad Boy Boogie" on the If You Want Blood... live album, is even better and it's more energized.
A couple under rated bands of the 80's are:
1. Driving N Crying: songs (Fly Me Courageous) & (Build A Fire)
2. Junkyard: songs (Simple Man) & (Hollywood)
BizMatik I’m loving your AC⚡️DC reactions. The whole I’m not googling shit really made me laugh 😂. Thank you.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
😂😂😂 thanks 🤟🏿🤟🏿
Bon was a street poet. A rascal of the highest order. 🔥😎
Bruh you should have a lot more subscribers, I'm LOVING your channel. Subbed. Liked. Hit the bell.
You gotta do sin city, love Brian but bon was the man
Pretty sure Bon put those lyrics together....you can hear the mimic in the later songs after he passed...but Bon was the one who did the double meanings, the ying yang of their lyrics.
Know exactly what your feeling bro. Been listening to them for 30 years and still revs the shit outta me. Suns goin down, boys are txtn what up, crack that first ale, boys turn up, "have a drink on me" got a shine on then some bad boy boogie out on the town. Let's get fucked up hard! Thumbs up even if this a old review 👹
lol you are so delightfully weird!!! LOVE IT!! lol
We were very territorial about our neihborhoods when i was growing up. Especially our pool halls and arcades. When outsiders would show up and started acting disrespectful to Ed, the owner. One of us would put this on the juke. When that happened it was a call to lace up your boots. Seems silly now but thats how it was in my lil town in the 80's
I didn't mean to hit the dislike! I hope it changed back to like. Love this song. Always taking me back to stories from the 70's. I had so much fun and these songs are taking me back. Thank you again!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Bon wrote the best lyrics!!
I can agree with that
Bon wrote all the lyrics on his albums with AC/DC. ALSO 'seventh day, seventh son'. 😉🤟
yeah.... BON SCOTT age of freakin AC/DC kicks ass...............
🙌🏿🙌🏿
🎸💯🤯 AC⚡DC rules‼🔥🤟
🤟🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿
This one is so much better live!
greatest band that ever walked the face of the earth during their best era
Bon Scott. He was a rascal rapscallion. Loved him so much. RIP. To hear Bon, you should see Bon. Performance is everything.
EVERY AC DC ALBUM WITH BON SCOTT IS FIRE!
Yes, "Go Down" definitely means something to every red blooded men lol😁 especially that 1st mindblower she gave us at 15-16 lmao! 😂
It is a good album. This song is a favorite of mine from it.
Fantastic version
Angus is a blues master...get the '74 Jailbreak EP, lots of great riffs & lyrics on there...
Even that one note part of the solo he can take you for a ride!
Growing up with bon scotts AC DC and the chisels best youth man wills parties in the pubs.crazy
Ride On and Squealer are two songs that you don't wanna miss. I'm tellin you man. Buckle up! You're so right, AC/DC ain't for pussies! I'm pretty sure Bon Scott wrote all the lyrics and I'm not googling it either! Hah! I'm loving this! I gotta add one more song, Jailbreak. Of course there's more but this will do you for now. Maybe... Bwahaahaaaaaaaaaa!
Soul stripper live is fucking phenomenal as well
as well is the studio version of course.
thats right we dont google 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤟🏿
@@kevedwards Absofreakinlutely!
@@watchbizmatik Hey Biz, I swear I didn't google this, I just saw it in an interview with Angus and I was wrong about Bon Scott writing the lyrics. Angus wrote almost all of the lyrics. Wanted to right my wrong. Peace
MUST watch the live version of this song ~1978
If you want blood you,ve got it, is a live album. It's the album that shows the big loss of what could have been ac dc in future if Bon stll lived.
Now you've got to do Rose Tattoo best place to start is Astra Wally, Bad Boy for Love, The Angels Take me away to Marseilles, TakeLong Line, The Divinyls All the Boys in Town.
Scott and Malcolm Young with the lyrics. Malcolm was the heart and soul of the band.
Rock on ! 🤘
🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
I was born to love till the day I die
You got that right. This song and this whole album ROCKS! Thanks for reacting. I know you already checked out ACDC's "Whole Lotta Rosie", but that was the live version with Brian Johnson. Check out the original studio version off this album with Bon Scott on lead. No offense to Brian, but this version is way better.
Back In Black and Highway To Hell are absolutely freaking phenomenal albums top to bottom, too, Biz. Enjoy the journey! I'm still listening to all this stuff 40 years later.
I will check it out
Biz, Bon was the lyricist for AC/DC. He was the swagger, the alpha male, and the front man for this band. Angus was force but Bon WAS the band!!
Come on, that's not true. It was the combination of Bon, Malcolm and Angus. One wasn't more important or valuable than the other
Bon Scott was a true rock star.🌟
Omg and you haven’t even got to “Whole Lotta Rosie” yet ...
I heard the live Version
@@watchbizmatik Oh that’s right!! I think it was with Brian Johnson though, so either way you’re in for a great experience 🤘🏻
Powerage. Yeah. Go do it
Sorry Big guy, still catching up. But TOTALLY AGREE with everything you just said. I’m hoping I come across a reaction to DOWN PAYMENT BLUES, or RIDE ON. If you haven’t done those two songs PLEASE, FOR YOUR ACDC brother from another Mother, check them out k. But still working to catch up. I had to stop BACK IN BLACK Album to go back to these. Bonn Scott was AMAZING(RIP BONN SCOTT)
Bon Scott wrote all the lyrics to all the songs and it is debated that bon Scott actually wrote the lyrics to a couple of the songs on Back in Black (like you shook Me All night Long) but he died and the new singer wrote the lyrics for the songs they didn't have lyrics for yet. (Like Back in Black)
Hell yes
🤟🏿🤟🏿
Bonn angus and malcomb wrote all the old stuff when brian joined angus and malcomb write everything RIP Bonn you will never bee forgoten
Now, if you want to hear the real version of this song, check it out on "If you want blood".
Every song on the "If you want Blood" album is a stratospheric improvement over the studio version. Don't take my word for it - check it out!
Wait until you do the Powerage album.
Mark and Phil had a BIG part of the hard foot tapping rythmn
Listen to the Powerage album.
Bon was a straight up boozer,he passed out in a hotel room, woke up a couple hours later, grabbed hi glass and said to the other person Oh, now where we.
The late Bon Scott wrote most of the lyrics. AC/DC never sounded the same after Bonnie died in 1980. Saw the lads for the first time on this "Let There Be Rock" tour back in October 1977 (Thier Brau Hof, Kontich (Antwerp), Belgium) and the gig turned into a bit of a disaster with a cop pulling a gun at Bon Scott because AC/DC refused to stop playing after it turned out they didn't have a permission to make substancial noise after 10pm. The song "Bedlam In Belgium" from the 1982 album "Flick Of The Switch" relates to that evening. Although short, it was still a very good gig.
If you want blood...live album rules...great Bon great guitar
Angus is fucking amazing but a lot of drive behind the songs come from his brother Malcom on rhythm guitar, that gritty solid drive is all mall and cherry on top is Angus, so phenomenally in tune together that it’s sometimes hard to tell whose playing what.
hey bro all of Bon Scott stuff is good to go to powerage next you will not be disappointed
Forgot it’s a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll. Hint they made bagpipes cool.
It fucking rocks!
By the way its live!!!!!...... yep 😊
Did you not review back in black yet?
