Witness lost the Best Picture Oscar to Out of Africa. OoA was an excellent film, but who’s watched it more than a few times? Whereas Witness stands up to repeated viewings per many comments here. I’ve seen it at least 20 times, more than any other film except Singin in the Rain.

映画は絶品ですし、モーリス・ジャールの音楽も野心作です(おそらく息子のジャン・ミシェル・ジャールの助けもあったのではと)。シンセサイザーが自然の表現に見事に溶け込んでいました。納屋の建設シーンの曲は代表作の一つだと思われます。
