I use this keyboard with Logic Pro and it works very well. Minimal latency. What's great about Logic is the many effects that can be applied to this keyboard, Steinway, Bosendorfer, and Yamaha Grand Piano replications. I also use it for some percussion, bass guitar, electric piano, organ, etc.

This is a fantastic Midi Conroller, I bought it since 2007 is still make wave in my studio, just go and download the driver and install it, switch it off before you star the installation and then switch it on when it demand, follow the on screen instructions, depending on the version of your workstation PC window 32 bit or 64 bit,or Mac, Install it, you will enjoy it, it is plug and play as well , to avoid latency issue, please do install the driver, you can down load it at Behringer website, (UMX61 driver download)I use it on Steinberg Cubase 7.5, Reason, Presonus Studio 0ne, Native Instruments Komplete 7 and 9, Steinberg Sequel, Fruity loops Studio, it works fine,

@M1F2R3 it's really all about space - if you have room for a 61note keyboard (5 octave - around 3 less that a piano) then go with 61. If you need something a little less space demanding, get the 49 key (4 octave). To be honest - I would go for bigger, as when your playing skill expands you might find 4 octave a bit limiting.... I'm going for the 61 when I can stretch to it.
Chief, I have the UMX61 but can't figure out why sustain pedal stopped responding, I initially thought the pedal was bad, confirmed with my ROLLAND A-90EX, what can I do to get it working back.

waiting for one of these myself, and as for the comment about changing from FL Studio to Cubase, all I can say is FL Studio 10 is wayyy easier to for use for us old-school Fruity Loopers.

anyone know why my delay is off by a quarter of a second on my umx? i just run it through fl, but im in the middle of downloading cubase to see if there is a better result. just running straight through the usb, but it really fucks with my timing and i dont dig that.

@jontronhaha In fl, press f10, click audio settings, make sure the soundcard driver is set to Asio4All, then open the asio control panel and lower the audio buffer to as low as it will go without the sound in fl stuttering.

Thrust me - Much more you can do, and it is simpler to make more professional projects.
Very disappointed, the dealers website clearly say it comes with bundled software... but it does not!!!!... you're required to register with behringer (including emailing proof of purchase WHAT A PAIN !!)... then they're supposed to send you a code to download software.... and I'm still waiting!!!!!..... think I'll box it up return it and get an M-audio.
+David Newton I can understand your frustration, but usually the "included software" leaves much to be desired, because it is either a simplistic program or a lite version of a better one. I had a midi controller at some point and it included Ableton Live, which I think it is free on Ableton' site anyway. You could look for free programs or plugins instead, and I strongly reccomend you try ZynAddSubFX. Don't take this for spam, I recomend that program because it is obscenely complex, though you need to know what you're doing if you want the best of sounds, otherwise it sounds rather synthetic.
the keys are light, so you might say it a kids piano. but i guess that's how most keyboard/MIDI controllers are.

Does anybody here owns this Behringer UMX-610 and works with Magix Music Maker?
I wanted to buy this MIDI controller but when I tried using it with Magix Music Maker it doesn't go really well, the sound buffers (sound latency)...I already tried changing the buffer settings but still no good. Does anyone have any clue to this? Thanks

The latency is because your computer or soundcard can't handel it fast enough.

Everybody, it's a fucking MIDI controller. That means there are absolutely NO sounds this device can output. This device outputs DATA TO COMPUTER. When you press a key, data goes to computer, if you press a button, means you're probably gonna switch patchs or sth. It's not a SYNTHESIZER.

hi, great demo. I have a macbookpro i5 with its onboard sound card and logic pro 9... will have latency problems, or do I need something else to have good sounds to play? (ie. sound libraries or other soft?

Its ok.. i dont like how hard u have to push to get high velocity though.. seems i press it medium and i get a soft sound, just wish u could edit velocity sensitivity.. but all round it is the best value midi keyboard atm in the whole world.. undoubtable if your thinking of buying a midi keyboard i do highly recommend..

@kasunirantha this controller have a little usb interface in the pack, yo have to assign this interface (UCA 222) in the audio settings in reason, actually i use this controller with reason 5 and i have 0 latency using the interface...........sorry about my english xD
I have a Yamaha piano keyboard with MIDI IN and OUT and I want an interface to be connecting my Yamaha to my computer to be recording music/ controlling a software on my computer eg Garage Band....Will this UMX 610 help? or is there another alternative?

I recently bought one of these controllers. I want to use it for playing live in a band, so i need to use several VSTis. Normally I assign each plugin to a midi channel, but I need to press a combination of buttons that makes it impossible to do so while playing

@jovianoelan That problem must be because of your sound card. Try downloading Asio4All and configuring it at MMM as your audio device.
