Coconut Berry Smoothie

  • Fast Breakfast Smoothie!
    Recipe:
    1 Banana (peeled)
    2 cups Water
    1 cup Shredded Coconut
    1.5-2 cups Frozen Berries
    1 Tbls Maple Syrup (more if you like it sweeter)
    1 serving of your favorite Protein Powder or other smoothie addative (optional)
    Add more frozen fruit as necessary to make it as cold as you like.
    Instructions:
    Add ingredients into Vitamix in order listed. Place black lid and safety lid plug on the Vitamix container. Start on a low speed. Move dial from Speed 1 up to 10. If your Vitamix has a "High" switch, turn it on now. If you have automatic settings you may use the "Smoothie" setting. Blend with the Black lid on. If necessary, remove small clear lid plug and use the tamper stick in the corners to push the mixture into the blades. The smoothie will start to move on its own inside the container and it will turn all one color. Test texture after 45 seconds of blending and continue blending on high with the lid on if you want a smoother texture. It takes about 60 seconds to completely liquify seeds and skins of fruits and vegetables. Adding ice in your smoothie will keep the temperature cold for about 90 seconds. Turn off Vitamix and unplug if there is no on off switch. Pour into glasses or bowls and serve right away!
    This Smoothie will keep in a closed jar in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours.

    AWESOME I JUST GOT A VITAMIX 5200 CREATIONS TWO NIGHTS AGO AND HAVE BEEN LOOKING OR SIMPLE RECIPES FOR SMOOTHIES - :)
