How cool to get to see a platypus. They are such an evolutionary phenomenon and are totally fascinating.

So cool! Beautiful waterfalls and great shots of the platypus. God's sense of humor as Robin Williams once described them. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing!...very elusive...some people researching Platypus in Australia have never even seen one in the wild. I am currently on a mission to film one in the wild myself. Great footage.

1:46 That's a golden orb-weaver spider. Totally non-venomous and pretty common, though that one is larger than most.

Hello RVgeeks, I got a question: can I maybe use this footage for my video about platypuses? If yes, I will of course leave credits in the video description! Hope y'all have a nice day ( :

I couldn't sleep and was enjoying the scenery in your latest posting when up pops a spider. At a bit after 3 AM. 24" from my face. I have Arachnophobia so bad I can't even look at a photo of one without going into panic mode so In the attempt to get away, I smashed my knee into the desk leg, fell off the chair which sent it crashing into the book cabinet. Between my screaming in agony and all the crashing about, I woke up my lite sleeper husband in the next room. After making sure I was OK he reset the video to begin after the spider while I was in the shower, got me a drink [Makers Mark is so comforting even at this hour], left me with an ice bag and went back to bed. I *HATE* spiders.

I could have just shut my eyes but I'd already seen it. A simple change in the narration to announce he was looking at the world's largest spider before showing it would have been great!
But the egg-laying, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed, venom-armed mammal with fur like a mole is a mess but very cute. BTW, the 'bill' is a sensory organ, the mouth is under it.

Wow I've been chastised by someone that has no idea about my real life. You know first hand what is said about people that assume.

+46619TAB I am sorry for laughing at someone else's misfortunes, but you painted such a vivid picture that I almost fell out of my chair laughing. So sorry this happened to you. If it had been a mouse, I probably would have done the same thing.

Pidasian Hippie Everyone has a phobia whether they admit it or not and we all react differently to them. Mine is spiders and my reaction is extreme, your's is cute little mice [that like spiders sneak up on you and 'scare you to death']. A friend is terrified of driving across a bridge, another is terrified of snakes, another will not ride a subway train and another is so terrified of birds that when he and his wife were house shopping, they wouldn't look at any property with trees on it.

These are beavers with glued on prosthetic bills. It wasent feasting on lilly pads, it was trying to get the plastic off its face. You should go to jail for animal cruelty
