“We don’t talk about the Petrus method anymore.”

@@gesus.christ99 shit is kinda exaggerated, it can still be a fun method, it can also be usefull for FMC, it's just as a speedsolve method too complicated to do fast
@@gesus.christ99 no it’s not. If you actually tried it you might like it:
An advanced solver can plan 2x2x3 in the inspection and complete eo with algs and end with zbll
Holy shit. Petrus average in under 10 seconds. That's amazing.
Those off-center stickers...
Have you tried FMC since you started practising Petrus?
+TheRandomno I sometimes try to do FMC for the daily scramble on /r/cubers, but I pretty much just try to get lucky. Don't have the patience or time to learn proper FMC techniques right now.
I love that first winter variation case, too bad Im too slow to see it during solves...
GJ very helpful
cool video
Man this was super cool, can you do some roux solves too?
+KungFuMedia I might eventually, but there are some other things I'd like to upload first as there are loads of roux example solves on youtube already.
And roux walkthroughs please

Nice Video
Or you could just use Petrus
Oh wait...
what was the WV alg used in the first solve?
thank you..wow really fast with lefty U2 for the second one, super easy to learn
Hey Tao, are you color neutral? Is it recommended for blockbuilding methods like Petrus and roux?
I my self am.not cn but sometimes in slow turning i see cn would help me (im a petrus solver) so i do a cn solve and just think wow if i was cn and this was timed sub 7 for sure
+Garvagé GG I'm x2/y neutral for all of my methods, which means that I can solve any block that has white or yellow on the bottom.
x2/y is generally accepted to be the best colour neutrality for roux as full colour neutrality would make things too confusing (haven't tried full CN myself though).
I think x2/y is the best colour neutrality for *speedsolving* petrus, because with full colour neutrality you have to choose between *three* different ways of expanding the 2x2x3 *during the solve*, and I don't think there is time for that when you're solving for speed. I find that it is hard enough to choose between two when using x2/y. x2/y is also enough to allow you to start on all 8 2x2x2 blocks, the same as full CN.
For CFOP, full CN is the best. And if you're using petrus or roux for FMC, full CN is a must.
+Tao Yu so i got the best color neutrality for petrus speedsolve nice (2y/x)
+Tao Yu so i got the best color neutrality for petrus speedsolve nice (2y/x)
Petrus CFOPish
+NiiFu I don't think there is anything wrong with that. F2L is blockbuilding too, and it can often be the fastest way to solve a case.
+NiiFu I'm not sure how long it took me to learn all of the methods, but here's an estimate of how long it took me to get to a sub 10 avg12 with each method after I started seriously practising them:
CFOP: ~3 years
Roux: ~1 year
ZZ: ~1 month
Petrus: ~4 months
I've been cubing for 7 years now, so you can see I've taken a few breaks.
For other methods, I've probably done at most a day of practise,.
Tao Yu how does one simple get sub 10 in one month.....
Or was that sped up by the 4 previous years of cubing experience?
nah, not bad I just do 1LLL it's more easy and with almost no algorithms
Terrible sticker job!
psychology 101 i can tell you're a pessimistic person as you looked at the single bad point of the video instead of the good points
First!
Or you just can use Petrus...😁
This is Petrus
Maximo Gamboa i understand the meme
Just sayin’
It’s not really funny when you say it and it doesn’t make any sense at all.... since it’s a petrus video.... I know the meme.
@@parityhater7155 This. It is nonsensical to use that meme on a Petrus video.
@@parityhater7155 or you could use petrus
