Gorgeous photography, Steve! I grew up in a rural area with next to no light pollution. The stars were brilliant! Now, they’re still visible, but in a moderate zone on the light map. Towns & cities grew… I enjoyed this video! Thank You both!

What's sad is it doesn't have to be this way. We've been to cities like Flagstaff that have lighting ordinances where lights shine down and only illuminate the area that needs to be lit. It can be done. If someone's light goes beyond their property, or up into the sky, they are creating pollution that is invasive to other people. The International Dark Sky Associate has great literature on it and ways to become IDSA compliant. It isn't that hard and can save money! darksky.org/

I still say he should put these in a book with a little info about where they are in our universe, how some of them got their names, and what it means to him. I’d buy it!
