It’s not the truck problem that makes you want to “quit” it’s the dealing with crooks that makes you feel that way. Use the power of social media, be surprised how many would show up to help.
The alternator can have parasitic voltage drain due to a faulty diode, replace the alternator with OEM not manufactured in China. Note: The alternator has the biggest electrical cable and the alternator diode works like a voltage back check valve to keep the alternator from pulling voltage from the battery when it’s shut off, the parasitic drain is substantial enough to drain the batteries but when you check the alternator output it will seem normal. Also be sure to remove and wire brush the connectors to the starter.
So can the diode be go faulty only at time and work fine most other time. We dealt with diode a lot with our explosive in the oil field and when they would go bad they where done period.
Pad wrap, corners and carpet pieces to protect those tarp corners and sharp edges!!..... Take some old straps and cut them up to use for corners and sharp spots.... couple rolls of duct tape helps or rubber bands, some stretchy rope.
My m11 is bad on starters I keep 2 extra rebuilt at all times sitting on the garage shelf there a hot lead from the solenoid to the main motor it’s a sold peice of metal I’ve had 2 of those crack in half gave me same issue your having Chris I start it home on Saturday in Atlanta run out to delta Louisiana and back shut it off Sunday lol never fails I shut it off at the fuel island to check oil or something then tick tick then I’m stuck in diesel and piss under the truck beating the hell out of the starter
Yea I got the old one at the house I could get it rebuilt but it weighs a ton and would be a pain changing out on the road. I might buy another gear reduction 39mt starter instead.
Thank you Cory. I’m going to start working on explaining things a little better after getting loaded instead of being so short on the loaded part of the videos.
Sorry to hear you got the "shaft" man. Invest in a jump box. If jump starting would have gotten you going again, you would have saved yourself that outrageous service call.
Pilot just east of Minneapolis on the Wisconsin side..... truck broke down on the fuel Island.... to get towed off the Island and across the exit to the Freightliner dealer..... 895$$$ Less than 1/2 mile..... They got me and that was 4 years ago!! Let's Goooooo Brandon!!..... 8.9% inflation my Ass!!
42 G's in 4 weeks not bad..... but you gotta add your time off ontop of that 4 weeks.... because those fixed costs are weekly..... 52 weeks a year. So 42Gs on 5 plus weeks..... Like I said 44 weeks of revenue against 52 weeks of fixed.... set your numbers on 44 weeks of fixed... not 52.
Thanks for these videos over the past month or two. I just got my cdl a month ago with the intention of eventually becoming an owner operator with a flatbed. Everything you have been through and how you dealt with it has helped me get a better picture of the realities of owner operator life. My favorite trucking channel by far.
Thank you. I glad I could help shed some light. It is very rewarding and frustrating at times. But I guess that’s part of the challenge that makes it fun after the frustration subsided. Lol
I was in a dealership in Joplin and their rates were $185 for trucks and $205 for RVs. I was talking to a driver there that had just had a engine rebuilt and I said "at least you have a warranty now" and he said "Nope, they used a 3rd party rebuild kit". I think I would have said just forget about it.
Cummins did the same thing to me. I was supposed to have a 2 year warranty and they ended up using aftermarket pistons that dropped me down to a 1 year warranty.
Wow did they kiss you before they screwed you. That's ridiculous to charge that kind of money. They know they have you where they want you. Keep your head up and keep saying tomorrow will be better. Great video stay safe.
Too bad they did not pull you out with the fork lift. I don’t know what size their forklift is, but even a small fork lift could have pulled just the tractor out without too much trouble.
What's the bottom line from that 41k? That's what i look at. I didn't know there was that much hardwood in Texas? Or pine trees either. That pisses me off the way they done you and it wasn't even me!! The sad part is someone with a pickup could have done the same thing! The only thing you can do is put their name out there so maybe somebody else doesn't get burned by them. 😠
You may wanna look into this but I'm pretty sure it's illegal to to charge you a fee too run your card. They need to disclose that to you before you hire them. You could legally contest the transaction fee with your card holder.
They ripped you off🤬
Yes indeed

Most definitely I padded all the corners but one of the blankets slid down in transit and tore a pretty good gash in that front tarp.

Just wait till the numbers video come out. Fuel was crazy for June.

Thank you Mr. Greg.

You need to put one of those starters in the truck, it is not going to do you a bit of good on the bench when you are out on the road!
Yea I got the old one at the house I could get it rebuilt but it weighs a ton and would be a pain changing out on the road. I might buy another gear reduction 39mt starter instead.
I'd turn them into the bbb or IL ag for price gouging
Congrats on the mammoth month! Workin on gitn my own setup goin and learning a ton from ur vidyas. Keep on keep'n on and good will prevail✌️
Thank you Cory. I’m going to start working on explaining things a little better after getting loaded instead of being so short on the loaded part of the videos.
Go for $45 bro. You oughta pick up a little jump pack. It’s amazing how much juice they have.
I could’ve possibly done it if the truck issue wouldn’t have happened. At that point I was just ready to get it home.
Sorry to hear you got the "shaft" man. Invest in a jump box. If jump starting would have gotten you going again, you would have saved yourself that outrageous service call.
I’ll have a battery tender here pretty soon that way when the trucks off the genny will keep them charged.
Congratulations on meeting your goal for the month! Awesome videos you been putting out! May GOD keep blessing you and your family!!!
Thank you James.
Ouch! Sorry man you got screwed.
It happens sometimes

good thing your trucks not an automatic transmission
I could agree more. 😂

Your exactly right. Has to be averaged out with home time included.
Damn dude. Didn’t the tow company get the memo? Rates dropped lol.
That Velox impression was on point btw!
Obviously not. 😂. Yea I had just watched one of Nick’s vids and that intro was stuck in my head. Lol

Nope the went in dry. Lol
Ridiculous prices
I agree
Dont pop the clutch. Congrats on that monthly number. Thats awesome even with high fuel prices
Thank you.

Yea I wish. The problem was there was a steep incline getting out of the dock and I don’t think there forklift had enough to get it done.
“Speedy G’s Towing: The ‘G’ Stands For Greedy”
Yea indeed.
I think your batteries bad not the starter
It was the ground. Next video will go into detail on what happened.

It seems a lot of places are doing it now.
Nobody there had a 4x4 pickup that could of pull started it never break down in Chicago or Illinois every where there is highway robbery
That’s what I’ve heard. 😂😂. Unfortunately there wasn’t just a few cars in the parking lot all about the size of a Prius.
Jesse James has nothing on the pull start. Totally ridiculous.
Lol

That is a rip off. Greedy.
Tell me about it. 😂
