I let my CWI lapse in 2012. I got in 2003. I took the AWS seminar because the company I’m working for payed for it. This is a much tougher test than I took in 2003. I went in thinking it was the same and I was in for a rude awakening. Part B is 5 times as hard and the 1104 was harder. Can’t speak very highly of AWS seminar. I got my results today and passed. I thought for sure I failed Part B. My advice to anyone out there is take some additional training before you go to AWS seminar.
Q1-21 I’m guessing is false…. But I don’t know because the video skipped over it 😂. Maybe I’ll like away… any insight for the test to come is helpful. Thanks welding n stuff
@@Stefzan19 I passed A and C but failed B. Pretty bummed. I thought the tests were pretty hard. I just feel like they're more interested in trying to trick you than they are testing your knowledge. But I'm also no genius so...
Hi Professionals, I would like to appreciate your online Training learning Certification site, I know few professionals from welding inspection , do you like me forwarding interested candidate’s for CWI, certification if so what’s the procedure , this is purely international candidates outside US.
HAHAHA,,,,, this guy is one of those guys that makes it out to be much harder than it is, We as CWIs only exist for insurance purposes. the fact is AWS doesn't give a shit about your experience or qualifications, They want their money like all businesses.
Just so new people know, absolutely zero of these easy questions are on the test. I came into part A studied up hard, got all of these correct and all other test questions correct. Things must have changed over the years because you basically have to memorize every word of the WIT book front to back to pass this thing.
@@jonathanbarbour8635 The practice questions help because they are formatted similar, but overall I found the questions to be very different. By some miracle I ended up passing with a 77 but it was a lot tougher than I expected. Make sure you know specifics about chemical compositions of electrodes and base metals, what happens during pre and post heat treat, what kinds of defects are caused by chemical composition and stresses. Make sure you know all about AC and DC, DCEP, DCEN, things like that.
@@CassieRivers-vx3irI took mine through AWS and I would not recommend it, I’ve heard great things about the Hobart, atlas, and real education. The only thing I was prepared for was the part c code book test.

I am Mechanical Engineer and did NDT LEVEL II and CSWIP 3 .1 Welding Inspector from India. CWI is more popular than CSWIP??
Yes. Great material you got going on. Keep those practice tests coming. When are you gonna start a monthly for online tests?
Your channel has helped me more than all of the other videos about CWI put together
I appreciate this. Allows me to practice while on long drives.
Yes thank you. Do you know if the book is in a audiobook? I would love if it is. Thanks again 👍
Enjoy this and Hoping for some more especially the part B I would start in my class on March! ❤️

And Happy belated birthday
I love these videos. Thank you. I'm heading to the seminar next weekend.
You will do fine
I want to take the CWI test for aluminum, which books do I need?
Would you suggest taking an online course? if so, which one? I've heard SIcerts and Atlas. What do you guys think?
Is question 21 true or false. I feel like its both because it’s shouldn’t have AWS code and its missing ASME Section 9, B31.1 and B31.3?
Great information!!
Glad it was helpful!; stay tuned for the membership portion coming soon so you don’t have to shuffle through all the othe no Cwi videos

Were any of the ?s from the WIT Book on the exam? I was told to study that and the practice exam they give you?

10/4 I go in 3 weeks to take mine. Just curious, I felt like all the review ?s were easy.
Where did you go to take yours? I'm torn between Hobart & Real Education
