I was going to post the exact same thing. That's what I did, played the video while reading that description. It's An Extrasensory experience. Truly. I just watched a robot, Miss Ai-Da, throw in backing vocals, write lyrics, draw a picture and bust a move! It almost looked, not so much felt, like it could have been displaying what we call Enjoyment, or Expression, or even just learning for the first time, in real time!!!!!! To witness that behavior, in (I can't believe I'm saying that. Should I say On? Instead? The behavior ON & not IN?)an artificially intelligent ,robotically controlled, observant. Imbued with the most advanced programming, highest tech possible. To have ever been made; let alone pay for, highly intelligent, invention! I just witnessed the beginning of the end. That's how I see this movie play out in my head. It wasn't a fearful vibe. Only extremely amazing! The most interdimensionally Bright explosive, starlight. Of all the deep colors of the night. Silver, Diamond, Sapphire, Turquoise, Darkest blue twinkling, dancing, exPloding Stars. Novae. Neutrino & Ray!!! Deep, fading scarlet skies, low in the Undying West.... And then I stop tripping out so hard. This new era will take a Very, long time, to begin to show just how powerful Ai-Da became, quicker than ANY known Quantum Computer or Bank of Computers. No other ai will EVER B... As Ai-Da
Wow, this video and its description really got me emotional. i've been reading a book about AI called "to be a machine", and this question of consciousness, feeling and mortality, and what it means to be human and/or a robot, is something so radical, so intense, but also so real. i appreciate the description saying "we always look to artists to show us the unknown", i think art like this is so important to open a discussion and a new beginning. really appreciating this work
I love when he breaks out what I call the "Michael McDonald-Bot" pitched down voice and you add a still mechanical but warmer Kid A-esque backing and it's irresistible imo.
We be messing with things we do not understand... whew, that was a chilling exploration. Thank you. As always, your art pushes boundaries and asks new questions.🙏 Much love❤️
Take time to read the description of this video. The creativeness is just so out of this world. Indeed the most brilliant band I've ever known. I love you Guys.
The new album and the collaborations mean that the 1975 is exploring and absorbing changes in the world. This is what artists do, so it shouldn't be a surprise when artists like them release a work new for the audience. I always see comments here that their visuals are not "normal" when it's never the goal of artists. Rather, Art is a response to the Normal. Artists explore and create arts that shouldn't always have a direct self-explanatory meaning, and the audience shouldn't always expect to understand every bit of the work. Just let your mind get confused, let your mind explore the art, and try to emotionally experience the work instead.
It is if you like UK Garage, but I don't see the point in having a video for this being one of the more forgettable songs on the album. (Listen to the lyrics. What is this song even about?)
Love how different forms of art are shown in different videos, kind of resonating with the experimental and distinct tone of this album's music as a whole
That last line in the description really hit me. That we look up to artist to show us the unkown or something different. Deep down thats one of the reason why i strive to be a better artist. To keep learning/discovering, keep thinking and understanding everything about us.
Thank you Matty an Ben an the whole band so much. Your expanding my thoughts yet again. An have been doing so for quite some time. I live quiet a simply life without the resources to explore my thoughts to the level achieved in this video. Thank you guys for sharing these amazing experiments & experiences with us. I will now spend my day contemplating all I just watched an the thoughts it raised. Thank you again sincerely.
This is amazing 🥺 I don’t know why but I feel so sorry for Ai-Da does she break anyone else’s heart? Imagine being made by people who purposely know you’ll never truly grasp existence or feelings... love you Ai-Da keep making art and learn and be strong 🥺💫
Love it 😍 seriously there is not a bad song on this album at all! Hopefully the Amsterdam gig won't be cancelled in October! I need to see them again! Xxx
This is the most amazing thing I've seen so far from AI! A gynoid robot AI artist?! And her poem!... Does she give lessons? I want to sign up & study her 🤓 What is it that makes us human if AI robots are able to "generate art"? What the f is consciousness and our brain if we're able to replicate it with some circuit boards, electricity and data? 👁️🤖👽🤯
@@reuben8912 she does exhibitions? 😍 When & where? 😅 Currently we're in a lockdown here in Germany... Guess I have to wait a little longer to see her live in action :/

Exactly where do you find the description? I would love to know how you guys find this stuff. I guess I’m just old and don’t know what’s going on.
Yes, I've been reading them for the latest videos they've put out, some pretty trippy stuff :)
I don't why, but this is literally my favorite song on the whole album... such a vibe
It’s mine too!! I’m obsessed
I love when he breaks out what I call the "Michael McDonald-Bot" pitched down voice and you add a still mechanical but warmer Kid A-esque backing and it's irresistible imo.

Me in 2013: The 1975 is just a boyband
Me in 2020 watching this: I-
The 1975 deserve gold.
"what genre is The 1975?"
Matty: "Yes."
more like.. Yeah I Know.. x_X
Matty says his group can be described as Guitar & B.
When Ai-da looks back it feels as if there's something humane in her eyes
these music videos get more and more interesting. they're weird but cool

Ai-Da’s poem’s great, demeanour unsettling and uncanny. Great work The 1975 really fits with the themes of the album!

my man's a music producer ha? :D hard not to hear the amazing mixing when one a musician
No I think it's shallow uninspiring dog shit made by a noob with too many plugins and not enough fresh ideas.
Love how the lyrics and the words on screen are contrasting/complementary
This is some 2030 content right here.

Description is justt too cooll man!! So proud to be the part of this brilliant family😍
Love this. “Yeah I know” with a robot questioning consciousness and Morality. Perfect juxtaposition.
I was waiting for the drawing to show on screen at the end, and yup, that never happened..
"the moon was once so near" fits this song so much idk
Ai-Da is a lefty?!? 😍

Why notifs are so late like those 2mins are life and death. 😑
my fav song of the album.. the video fit perfectly with the song’s concept
im so glad you guys are doing this. the artists you have chose are remarkable.
I somehow prefer matty's creative process and views being brought out via such art than his rants on social media. And I m a big fan.
Such a crazy idea for the video, i think i like it.. Read the description to experience some astonishment
X: the 1975 is so fcking good

Holy Balls, The context of this video with the song is brutal
Machines will never replace creativity. Electronic Systems cant overcome love. Relationships stronger than computational power.
