I've noticed with Shipley that drivers really bid down deliveries on the various auctions. I don't do it full time so that's a little more challenging too. Hauling those pallets of water seems like a good gig.
The only downside to this content is that EVERYBODY is going to try this. Once this happens all you have to do is sit back and watch the 1st timers bid the price down. You can tell who they are. Anyone thats been in the game knows what it cost to move these. pallets
Thanks for sharing, I have an F150 8ft bed. Any input would be appreciated; do you think a camper shell or bed cover need and which would be preferred for more loads?
Hey cargo van man is Shipley still doing well today for making money in The Courier business? Also what credentials does one need beyond the obvious in order to make up the profile of having a little hard time with it for some reason? And how do you know when the bid you gave the quote on is accepted?
Did you have to get Insurance for your loads and do you need any kind of special license? I really want to jump on this, I've been watching your videos. I wish you well and be safe on the road.
I wouldn't use Shiply. If the shipper dosen't show up, they can just keep your money and Shiply won't reimburse you for what you paid the shipper. That's what they told me. My shipper never showed up and i suspect I lost $750.
Can you rent cargo vans or box trucks for this type of work? If so can you give some advice on what companies and rental rates we should look for? I saw GoShare requires you to have at least a month-long rental in order to qualify. How and where would you even do that? And for what rate would you look for in a monthly, weekly, or daily rental. If you think it's a good idea that we rent cargo vehicles at all. I just have my SUV right now but I'm willing to rent a cargo vehicle if I can and the math works because it would allow me to make a lot more money (including covering the rental fees).
Good for you congratulations on your baby! Wish you the best brother! Good info!!! Good luck on your journey. Are you owning the vehicle? Lease? Finance?
I might have asked you this before, but can you deliver strictly pallets? Like 5 days a week or so, strictly making money off pallets so you’re not unloading hundreds of boxes here and there. I’m very interested, but I love the idea of pallets. I could do that for years.
Would file an incident report with the store or whoever employees the forklift driver. It would be covered under their general liability insurance I believe
If I see 100 loads heading out of town in the general directions can I pick say four up on Wednesday 6 up on Thursday then head out Thursday to deliver all items? What are the day and time restrictions on delivering?
Shiply and Uship are hustles and it depends on where you live. This is a side gig for me and I am in SoCal and try to do local (within 125 mile) radius. A lot of moving/delivery of furniture jobs are on these platforms so you will require a helper for some of those.
@@JourneyWithCameron Hey brother thank you for the content you share, with your experience would that be the van/size you would recommend to start? I too would want to be home every night. Thanks again!
I would suggest getting the biggest you can budget. I wish I had one long enough for 3 pallets and I wish I had more payload. But I’m still doing great with what I have!
So they ask you if you have it or not, and then you can provide the amount of go insurance you have. I don’t believe it’s required to have an account and bud on jobs, but based on the jobs you are bidding on, your potential client would likely want their cargo protected, and it’ll show on your profile what cargo insurance you offer
