Lovely video....we've just bought a little cottage in Barrydale, and I can't wait to be gardening, and to be a part of this magical village in the Klein Karoo!
So much more to the town than what was showcased in this short film, definitely moving up on the list, houses being renovated, new ones built, it has 'arrived' as the say.
Barrydale suprises me. Pleasantly. I agree with you, the people are lovely, and so interesting. Thank you so much for watching and the kind words. You've made my day. ❤️
@@garygoldstein3061 I've made a note to grab him for an interview on my way through next time. Please let us know of anyone else you think needs to be included.
I love the Karoo and my sister lives there but with all these videos of the Karoo, you consistently only interview white residents. This is a serious oversight
Not from lack of trying believe me. We had some luck in Ladismith and van Wyksdorp. If you are able to assist please let us know. We honestly do our best to try and confirm people and find people in the short time we are there. We were dropped at 11pm numerous times in Zoar and Uniondale.
@@AfricanTravelCrew I'm living in Canada so not able to help. Why the rush in each town? (Are you being contracted to do this series and hence tied to their schedule?) Can you not also just interview random people in the street?
@@wardieleppan8443 we pay this all ourselves and every day costs money. Not as easy as you think to just interview people on the street. When last were you here?
@@AfricanTravelCrew I realize it is difficult but it comes across as imbalanced if you only interview the pigmentary challenged types. (Love the Karoo so still enjoy the videos but do find they lack the diversity.) (I was last there four years ago.)
@@wardieleppan8443 it's changed quite a bit. People also don't just want to be on video. We are working on diversity and always top of mind. Thanks for your constructive input. ❤️

How lucky are you. I'm sure you'll have many happy years in this lovely little town and welcoming community.
