Create a player born in 2005 names “Jesse Pullock” make him a grinder with High Franchise potential & watch him absolutely destroy the league later on in the franchise mode 😂
If you can, just make the Space Cadets a team in Houston. You already have the brand and everything! If not, then I say a franchise where one used to be: Indy, Atlanta, Quebec, etc. I also think Utah would be a good idea too in the States
It's in the owners' contract that if the team doesn't win a Stanley Cup in their first year, they screw the fanbase and move to a new city to try again. Houston here we come baby!
I would make like the Houston Space Cadets as you already have the branding, defiantly download the real life draft class and I would say expansion draft and ypu become the 32 team in the league removing the Kracken. If you do fantasy draft I feel the team could be to good. P.S. would appreciate a Jersey :)
Playing every game definitely makes this tough, you should swap to every other game or only play 3rd periods, etc. at the very least if you don't want to full sim.
Corwin, on these higher difficulties you have to play like this hockey and not online play. Position your players to block their offence, and move the puck around in the offensive zone so that you can get shots off. *Defence:* Blocking shots: Don’t be afraid to set your guys up in front of their shooters and block shots, redirects and rebounds are pretty much for sure goals so don’t let them happen. Pressure in the defensive zone: You gotta keep swapping players and attacking them in your zone, body checks, stick on puck, stick lifts, and just rushing the puck carrier is the name of the game. Stop backing off and making them space because on the higher difficulties you get none. Helping your goaltender: You often let them walk all over your goaltender, there’s 3 of their guys at your net and none of your guys. When the puck is in front of the net start pushing them with the body check button, stick lifts, and poke checks are very helpful to keeping pucks out of the net. Breakouts: When you get that puck after being aggressive and blocking shot lanes back your puck carrier up and take a look, hold down the pass button whether it’s a saucer pass or just regular pass and find an open man. Don’t be afraid to use the board bank, net bank, toe drag, L1/RB loos pick deke, or any other deke that can make some space. *Middle Ice:* This is the no trick zone, no tricks. Move that puck fast by sprinting to their blue line maybe even using some backwards skating and passing to create space for your break in. *Offensive Zone Break In:* This is by far the hardest part, this is when you gotta cut through 2-5 guys without losing the puck because if you do it’s likely a 3-1 back to your end. So, what can you do? Dump and Chase: This is gonna require either some power forwards or 2 way forwards on your line cause even though snipers and playmakers are fast you can easily get your top scorers injured so I always suggest a big heavy center or winger on any scoring line. Once you get to about halfway past the red line hold the saucer pass button and tap the shooting stick forward. This will dump it in. Now for the most essential part, get your guys moving on that puck, hopefully it will have landed behind their net so your faster guys can cut through and grab it. Before you try to set up anything you gotta get that puck and player somewhere useful so start moving along the boards or if you got the chance bring it right out front of the net. The Rush: The more risky of the 2, but also less difficult to set up once your in their zone. Create some space from the defenceman on the side you are on and cut along the boards using a deke or 2. Once in you can change direction quickly and put it to your point men. *Offence:* Fundamentals: You should always be moving the puck, they will attack at all times so move that puck around and get their players out of shot blocking positions. Make sure to use those dekes, there’s lots of them and tutorials teaching how to use them so USE THEM. Use your skill stick. You can move the puck around away from opposing players using it and the A/X button so USE IT. Setting up the point: Move that puck deeps to get their players to focus deep, then quickly with a saucer pass bank it off the boards to your point man and move it to the opposite side to your other point. With 2 of their guys stuck in the corner you are free to make some moves either repeating that step in the corner or cycling around to open up the center shot lane. Defence are essential to your offensive game on higher difficulties so use them. Only pass to open players: Never ever pass through someone, sometimes it will work but 90% of the time it ends with your guys getting caught deep and them getting a good breakout. If you have no open man board bank or do a short range dump by taping R1/RB as you pulling your skill stick to your forward and shoot. This can easily ring a puck around the boards to your players. Cycle between point and side board players: often times you can get their players moved and either a straight in rush to the net from the point with a player, or a rush from the side boards with a play out front can happen. These are dangerous chances for you so use them. Last but not least take slap shots or wrist shots from the point. Point shots create lots of rebound chances and redirects along with sometimes just going in on their own. Tips on creating and executing chances: -aim your shots, try to shoot where it’s open and be deceptive with your movement to create those open shots lanes. -aim your passes, weak and unaimed passes are easy to pick off so don’t use them. If you are in a position where you don’t have time, make time and space with some movement and dekes. -in the defensive zone use that triangle/Y hold to get the puck, also use L1/LB and R1/RB to block shots and passes along with R1/RB by itself to get stick on puck. *Building your team:* Your teams are built very poorly, although they look good on paper the chemistry and usability is not there. Try to math a playmaker with a sniper, and try to throw in a TWF or Power Forward in there. Read their intended role as well in their information to see where they best fit in a team as well. Aim for the best + morale you can because + morale on young players increases their skills much much faster and they will set themselves up in special ways that assist in offence and breakouts. Also this is an NHL22 specific thing but try and match up X Factor abilities with once that work good together. Heat seeker with increased deflection skill, tape to take with puck magnet and or Snnipe. Ankle breaker with a player with make it snappy works great too. When you set up your defence try to put rightys on the left side and leftys on the right side to make getting shots off easier. Also, any goalie under 87 rating is pretty bad for some reason so when you are in free agents try and grab one above that rating. There’s many more tips but these are a good start for you to be able to play well
I would love to see the Kamloops Space Cadets. It’s been tough up here in BC this year with all the floods and fires surrounding us. Kamloops once had fires in every direction around the city this summer. I’m sure having this fictional team in Kamloops would give at least some good news for once. This isn’t me trying to make things up, I’m just hoping that at least you will consider it.
NO JERSEY RE DESIGN its perfect my favorite team is the flyers my second favorite team is the space cadets please don't make us wait for season 2 this is our year.
Hey Corwin, you should try and build a Stanley cup winning team only using 4th line forwards, 3rd line d's and backup goaltenders. Of course, with a team of that caliber, it has to have a supreme leader; Paul "The GOAT" Byron.
The Quebec team can be the Quebec Fur Trappers. Every time they score a goal they sit on the ice, one sitting between another's legs, use sticks like an oar of a canoe and the players and the crowd can sing "Alouette Gentille Alouette". Like in the Trapper skit on "Kids In The Hall".
I’d move the coyotes to Houston and call it the space cadets as it just makes sense with mission control. Then do a full rebrand in nasa colours or keep the ones now
Since you gave up Pietrangelo you can go to load and go to a file before he got claimed of waivers. I do that everytime I do something dumb in franchise mode
Here is my official campaign to start the Portland Pizzlies. They have been my personal franchise mode expansion team since NHL 2016 but sadly I can not continue their legacy as gm as I am not making the move to next gen consoles. I am so proud of the organization and their 4 consecutive Stanley cups, and it would be nothing but an honor to be followed by such a great gm such as Corwin.
Remember, any comment that gets 50+ likes, Corwin will try to do in the next Franchise Mode! 👇👇
I wanna see a fantasy draft!
May we please have more than 4 episodes this time? It's a really fun series
recolor the jerseys to navy blue and yellow
Your playing on NHL21…this isn’t NHL 22 lol
DO A EXPANSION SASKATCHEWAN TEAM MAYBEY THE YELLOW JACKETS
Create a player born in 2005 names “Jesse Pullock” make him a grinder with High Franchise potential & watch him absolutely destroy the league later on in the franchise mode 😂
I think it'd be even better if he picked Jesse up as some unsinged 28yo squid with an insanely high potential
leave the likes at 69 its perfect for jesse
Jesse squid
Surely you mean make him a "grit grinder"
Yes
I'm just begging you to make this a regular series with at least one episode a week. Please.
Not even doing 1 episode a month now. 😢😢😢
@@choms no episodes🥲
"I can't believe we blew a 3-1 series lead"
Definitely not the first time Corwin has said that....
Dammit, I wanted to say that...

Utah would be sick, cause Salt Lake Space Cadets would be SICK
Or a Canadian city like Saskatchewan or Halifax
Yep
Another Green and Yellow Seattle team butchered by a southern Midwest state…
please make this a weekly thing like please pleaseeeee
If 7-Eleven is the sponsor, start a new franchise and please call them the Slurpees
Let’s get the Saskatoon Slurpees going
@@alimurji1480 was looking for this comment haha

Corwin: Knows a lot about hockey
Also Corwin: Puts Pietrangelo on waivers..... Yikes
Relocate the Coyotes to Houston as the Space Cadets! Trade away every player on the team for picks, sign the worst free agents and rebuild from there.
50th like nbd

So glad this series is back, I missed Corwin’s insanity. And freakin wicked tarp man
Playing every game definitely makes this tough, you should swap to every other game or only play 3rd periods, etc. at the very least if you don't want to full sim.
Make it Houston because space cadets has to do with “Houston we have a prob”. Kinda like the astros
Bring back the Quebec nordiques as the 33rd team
Make a Kansas City team
edit-Someone commented and said make a 7/11 team and I’ve changed my mind now I want to see that
I think Corwin forgot about us all. RIP Seattle Space Cadets. 😢😢😢💔💔💔
The “break the neck” celly is the best by far
"FINALLY... THE SPACE CADETS ARE BACK..... HOME" - the rock

Where did you get those jerseys done?
How do you get those custom jerseys?

Will this ever be a regular series? Or has it been given up on? If so just crushing! Pitter patter let’s get at er boys!
The battle of Seattle would be cool so like the kraken vs the cadets it be a bulid in rivalry
Please make these regularly. Love the series
What company allowed you to make a single custom jersey?
I love the space cadets and I would love it if I got that sweat tarp.
NO JERSEY RE DESIGN its perfect my favorite team is the flyers my second favorite team is the space cadets please don't make us wait for season 2 this is our year.
Look where we are now......
1 episode in 1 month :(
for the cross crease passes in your end dive so that you block the past and that was how the were scoring on you all the time!!
Wow can’t wait for the next episode in 7 months
7-11, not too shabby Corwin.
I wanna know how u make those jerseys. I wanna make one for my custom NHL teams
Hey Corwin, you should try and build a Stanley cup winning team only using 4th line forwards, 3rd line d's and backup goaltenders. Of course, with a team of that caliber, it has to have a supreme leader; Paul "The GOAT" Byron.
Play less games each episode but make it a weekly series and show more footage from each game
Corwin, can you do a Seattle space cadets tutorial? I want to be able to make them in 22
Me: gets a Montreal 3-1 comeback flashback
:(
Where did you get the jersey?
How much coffee has Corwin had since the 7/11 sponsorship because wow he’s energized
hey bardown will you guys ever do a quiz on the movie goon?
Rest in peace Seattle space cadets… Corwin won’t come back to us
How/where's you get those Space Cadets jerseys made? I've been trying to find a place that makes custom jerseys for ages!
Honestly the most surprising thing to me is that this game simulated the Flames making it to the Stanley Cup finals
Spoiler
Finally back, and with a fire new tarp. How can I score one of those?
Check out his IG 👀👀
corwin laughing like hes on smelling salts at the beginning of the video
I'm excited for nine months from now when the next one comes out
You were a Pietrangelo away from a first round upset! 😂
When are you doing another one???
do everything you can to trade for mcdavid or matthews
The Quebec team can be the Quebec Fur Trappers. Every time they score a goal they sit on the ice, one sitting between another's legs, use sticks like an oar of a canoe and the players and the crowd can sing "Alouette Gentille Alouette".

could you more of them i love these videos so much
Lmao

Maybe a relocation Huston, New team called the Huston Howlers. Maybe they play in the Seven Eleven Dog dome. Circus music when they score, idk.
definitely need one of those space cadets tarps
When you lost Pietrangelo and were saying noooooo. That sounded like Sam when he gets out on question 2 of a quiz
Space Cadets become 7-11colors to celebrate those beauties for bringing this back
as someone that is red-green colourblind, the cadets vs flames matchup was a pain
Not Corwin looking to draft Wright in the 2021 nhl draft when he's a 2022 draft pick after just giving Ottawa Pietrangelo
Where did you order those jerseys!? Shout them out, get them some additional business!
Since you gave up Pietrangelo you can go to load and go to a file before he got claimed of waivers. I do that everytime I do something dumb in franchise mode
Do the space cadets with the same jerseys but different city like Quebec or something
Everyone knows what we need… William Portokalis on the first line throwback to an old video let’s go
You should make a whole new team with a Fantasy draft
Here is my official campaign to start the Portland Pizzlies. They have been my personal franchise mode expansion team since NHL 2016 but sadly I can not continue their legacy as gm as I am not making the move to next gen consoles. I am so proud of the organization and their 4 consecutive Stanley cups, and it would be nothing but an honor to be followed by such a great gm such as Corwin.
I mean nhl 22 is available on the Xbox one
Don't Worry, I made the same mistske with Gaudreau when he was put on waivers.
Finally it’s back I was just wondering yesterday when it would come back
Make this a weekly thing please corwinn
You should get a new goalie, he let up some pretty brutal goals in the playoffs
Wow you did something with this series
waited longer for this than I did for the last season of GOT.
EA back at it, making the Canucks unstoppable
"it was 3-1" I'm sure that sounds very familiar lmao
So glad these are back
Putting Petro on waivers was a bold GM move
little did we know, this was the first and last video for nhl22 franchise corwin would do
33 team fantasy draft, new city and team name as well
14:17 "I was not ready for this.. GAME... 7!" True leaf's form I see....
When you accidentally waived Pietrangelo I felt sick. I then told my wife and one year old son what you did. They stared at me blankly.
Give Toronto the 33rd team and see if you can build a team better than the leafs. Something tells me you'll still win it all before they do 😂
Nah the leafs in this game are good and actually win 🤣
Get Dennis Cholowski and Michael Rasmussen. Cholowski is on the kraken/Red Wings/Capitals. Rasmussen is on the Red Wings. They both are very reliable
Love this franchise, hope he keeps up with it
Is it back really? If it is really back it will be made at a minimum of once a week.
My Guyyy! Hit me up with that jersey 😍. I don't have one yet, so I will forever rep the Seattle space cadets.
i feel like i missed my chance but man i wouldve LOVED one of these jerseys
I’m the number 1 Space Cadets fan in Australia 🇦🇺💚
Fantasy draft in NHL22
Saskatoon Space Cadets, and you have to use the team that bar down drafted together in the other video.
Do they fix the numbers? Where the jersey numbers is invisible when you make 33rd nhl team? If so imma start playing nhl again lol
Your team is so good with ovi
How can I get a custom jersey like this one? I’ve searched the comments and could not find an answer…
Awesome that this back!
No it's not
I need that jersey 🛸🚀
Make this a regular series
Just pulled a Toronto this past season, blowing a 3-1 series lead 🤣
New team, best shared roster, still superstar, Huston Space Cadets, new colors maybe?
Corwin needs a President of Hockey operations to make sure he doesn't pull another Pietrangelo
Bring the space cadets to Canada
« Saskatchewan Space Cadets »
And the colours would be accurate too
And day now that there will be a new vid of this love your guys vids
Nice! Dead after one episode. It was nice knowing you SC
