They missed an excellent oportunity to show mobile worker suits in the recycling depot. But the "A Team" inspired junk yard rebuild of Zaku II's was great. I get the feeling we missed a great back story of the highly ranked Majour being in a depot. He showed some experience as a Zaku tank driver.
We immediately recognized the EX’s head from the teasers was almost identical to the EZ8’s head in 08th MS Team, which got us thinking that it’s the same head, refurbished and sent to Southeast Asia to replace the missing RX-79(G) head.

Hi From Jaburo. I mean Brazil. The EX G undam remmember me when the WB landing in Jaburo and the mechanics crew, take the data and upgrade the Gundam to Amuro, maybe the EX use the parts who are removed from the Amuro's Gundam, or maybe its a amalgama from others Gundam Units who shows in MS Stories. IF they put more money, maybe wee can see a modern version from Odessa's Battle or Jaburo.
Yeah.. very grey area as to the relationship there. If Fenix was her son the meeting would have been different. What mother would not recognize her son. And wasn't her son of a different name?
She literally had a ptsd induced dream showing her kid’s face. she even had a locket with her family picture. She even said her kid was in space, waiting for her to come home. when did the show imply the Gundam pilot was Iria’s son?
The M61 became the cannon fodder that Zaku II's are normally in other series. It makes sense. Feds had thousands of tanks in Odessa. But only 30 mobile suits. Generally Odessa was carried buy overwhelming numbers of ground units. Zeon knew they had a better advantage in space than ground combat. Thus the retreat to space and not south to Africa.
This is just a stretch but what if the Gundam EX is the main Universal Century's equivalent to the Origin's Gundam Local Type, especially the North American Type? Both got a shoulder-mounted Vulcan gun. Both got a contrasting color scheme that invokes different fears (Black and White, Terminator and Slasher). Both are feared on their respective fronts. (North American and European). Both are related to the RX-79 (G) (Local Type lead to the development of the Ground Gundams and EX has (G) in its model code).

Because it is WAR movies.... heck every gundam movies is WAR SPACE OPERA just like STAR TREK and STAR WARS you're definitely new In gundam don't you? This part of ONE YEAR WAR
how though? its not like the original 1979 gundam didn't try to portray Zeon as good people fighting for a cause(autonomy for spacenoidd) while the zabis used that motivator to push for spacenoid supremacy. This ain't like star wars where it is generally agreed that the empire are indeed the bad guys and they fight for an authoritarian regime ruled by sith lords and the dark side of the force, while those of the light side work for the republic or the rebellion. No. it cant happen in the same timeline because Odessa happened differently in the original timeline. NONE of the evacuation ships survived in the original. Apsalus clearly didnt exist here because it is very hard to miss in the final battle

Seen too many comments being nit-picky about prodution qualities.
Plot armour is a bit obvious however.
I mean to be fair, plat armor characters ade not new to Gundam. With Jesus Kira being the main example.

I really like this Gundam design. It has grown on me snd its such a menacing looking Gundam. This Gundam is literally The Terminator for Zeon Soldiers

I don't think Iria was the kid's mother
She literally saw his face and she had a photo of her son at the same age (probably taken few months ago when the war started and she sent him away)

I think it was a misspell error from the video's subtitles. Iria's not the Gundam pilot's mother.

I didn’t know gundam EX was developed in 1978. It’s kinda old.
my biggest gripe with the show was that they tried to make Magella Attack look cool by making M61 super slow
