The Most Outstanding Farmhouse Design With Porches, Basement & 2-Car Garage.

- This custom house plan was commissioned by a viewer on this platform from the US. The couple had specific requirements including a wide corridor, a large closed concept plan with 3-foot walkways around the island to accommodate wheelchair access, an ADA-compliant bathroom, and a basement. Additionally, they requested a Sunroom/All-season room, a reasonably large garage offset towards the rear, a wrap-around large porch, and a main bath with a walk-in shower. They wanted the house to have a Ranch/Craftsman style with craftsman columns and a gable over the front porch entry, along with a master bath featuring a zero-entry shower (ADA) and a makeup area, as well as a powder room and an entry closet.
The couple also desired the master closet and laundry to be interconnected, with the laundry having an exterior wall for a dryer vent. We successfully fulfilled all of their requirements.

The surprise was the large pantry. Also, the back desk underneath portion is open and can attract unwanted "critters". Suggestion created a enclosed storage area.

Would love to know where this home is? It is absolutely gorgeous. And how much property is it sitting on? That's another good thing and I wouldn't need at least 4 bedrooms. Not calling the master bedroom and at least 3 and a 1/2 bathrooms master bedroom having its own.

I really like this house but with a few minor changes. If the exit to the porch out the end of the laundry room was to the garage and the garage was off the side of the house with a front facing garage doors it would fit the same lot size but allow a rear master bedroom or third bedroom where the garage was with access to the deck from that room. The basement bedrooms are too far from the stairs to the basement and would be better at the end with the stairs and the family room movie lounge at that end, possibly with a dumb waiter down from the pantry. The bedrooms at the far end would be a fire hazard so far from the stairs. Imagine the path from the front door or even the garage to the basement bedrooms. It's not practical, and without another bedroom it is too much house for only two bedrooms.
Rather have a walk out basement.

How can I print the floor plan?
I love how you did the design on the outside, the skirt with the stone was just righteous. What I would have loved to have seen was egress windows in the basement. Once again, I adore the fact that you put in a sunroom and this one has a wood burning stove which extends the time you're able to use it, great idea. I just don't like that the doors are so close to the main house doors. L.R. is scrumptious. It is setup perfectly. Powder room is perfect, I just love the vanity. The home is gorgeous, but it's sad that you were only a able to get 2 bedrooms. The kitchen is breathtaking. I am not usually fond of colored cabinets, but somehow, you've made them so they don't look like they'll be a whale around the neck in a few years down the road. The pantry with the freezer is excellent, I'd put a stand up freezer myself. The master bathroom, I didn't really care for the shower curtain, I much prefer glass encasement, looks neater. But, another absolutely stupendous job. Thank you for sharing.

Could dishwasher be moved to other side of sink to be closer to cabinets? And could the basement bedrooms be enlarged and given a better bath? There's PLENTY OF SPACE DOWN THERE!!!

It's a beautiful house. Pretty large for just being a 2 bedroom. It would perfect if it had a third bedroom. But, overall, it's pretty nice.
It was a commissioned design, so the owner would have the final say. All the same, there are additional rooms in the basement.
