I love the Lego truck. What a piece of art! Great Spec Lift. Can't wait to see it in action. I think you should call it Brains.. like Brains in Thunderbirds... he wore big square specs.
Nice bit of kit that mate should make it so you can put a bike on the back. Hope your taking the day off tomorrow you defo earned it either way have a good bank holiday
If that was mine I would put a crane by the cab to lift broken down motorbikes onto the dead space between the cab and the spec lift just a thought looks good though
Yes it's a Mk6 Transit. The early ones on the old reg system (W, X and Y reg) are quite rare now. And while it's not a 4Matic, it's definitely a Turbo, as the Mk6 was the first Transit to have a turbocharger fitted to all Diesel engines.
Yeah know what you mean. But the winch on Ronnie is just bonkers, I've pulled things out if the depths of hell with my mouth wide open wondering how. Not sure I need a top boom tbh
@SleafordRecovery Ronnie is a beast to be fair and some of those ditches around the a17 roads are murderous just like the road itself with some mad angles to recover from. I agree with the rest of the comments that it should he should be called Charlie and could be used for motorbikes just depends on how many bike jobs you get or turn down I guess.
My old transit was a great little tool. Gutted I sold it tbh. Only thing I found was the front lifted even though I had a massive weight put under the front cross member. But it easily picked up long sprinters. Struggled a bit on hills but on everything else it loved working. Great on diesel and it had air conditioning lol. Only transit I ever see have factory fit air con on a 2006 last of the shape you have. I think mine was a bread delivery van twin wheel monster. Great video 👍 I called mine Mater from cars. My kids loved cars film. My mate has a replica of Mater. I'll get a picture next time I'm over his way. 👍👍
@@Fighting_Torque bullet proof As long as you are onto of fluids and filters they last for ever. I strongly recommend that Red X for diesels now and again. And that JLM deep clean stuff. Bloody amazing stuff I use the JLM every 6 months does valves turbo and egr etc and exhaust. My old Atego gets around 20mpg loaded. After I put that JLM cleaner in it. Be good 👍
Awsome buddy nice truck maybe Reggie lol specs are so cool love our ugly Betty she a real asset. You will never look back . Cool Lego to .all the best Mark and Emily
Cheers guys, yeah i'm happy with it, done a fair bit to it in the week i've owned it, not ready to do a job yet but should be by Tuesday so hopefully get some content with it soon.
Transit looks class. When's the GDB green paint coming out? I think it should be called Violet if your keeping it at home. And mount one of them red and yellow kids car on the back. 😂
Can't beat them mk6 transits mate I still run one in my small fleet and I love it. Just got to watch the injecter pumps on them as there common for failing but other than that there great (oh and the rust habbit ) but that's just transit life😂 well done mate keep up the good work and love the videos 👍
Do you know what, a few people have said that back space would be great for motorbikes, but it is quite a height to be using a ramp. I'm not sure yet, have to see what I come up with!
@@Fighting_Torque could you get something the goes in the middle of the spec, between where car wheels go to lift a bike to bed level, just push on from there.
Call it ronaldo for its efficiency and speed ? What a peace of kit to add , of you get a single ramp maybe convert the back for motorcycle s you'll still have room for lockable boxes
Can’t beat the transit recovery truck. Better than the ivecos, nothing but trouble them. As for the name why not have Charlie Richardson, as you got the Krays😂
I think Tracy the transit she could be a girlfriend for Ronnie aww lol 😍😍 if you want a boy & a girl Or tony or Trevor if you wanted to keep it all male 🤟🤙🤙
Cant fault you on purchasing a transit spec lift. Looks a good one, definitely needs something it back , it looks bare and strangely long . Robbie, Terry the twin wheel, Simon the spec lift are the names I put forward . Enjoy bank holiday if you can 🫡🤛
I noticed my car missing!! Looks good on the back of (insert name here)!!
I think it should be called Charlie
Thanks for the lend!
I love the Lego truck. What a piece of art!
Great Spec Lift. Can't wait to see it in action. I think you should call it Brains.. like Brains in Thunderbirds... he wore big square specs.
I see what you did there! Not a bad shout!
Brilliant bit of kit mate, that lego truck is cool, as your work fleet all start with r I'd go for Rodney 👍🏻
Nah we have Penny the Primastar response van too!
@@Fighting_Torque didn't know that mate my apologies 👍🏻
@@allantaylor3064 no need for apologies pal. All good 😊
Like others have said in the comments, definitely adapt it for motorcycle recovery.
Will deffo plan something
Handy little truck, probably use that quite a bit
I hope so mate, especially if I get some dolly's for 4wd vehicles I could technically do everything with it
Defo a great space for bike recovery that
Yeah but how do I get them on? I'm open to suggestions?
Nice one mate love the lego Ronnie now your need another one of the new spec
Yeah totally!
Nice bit of kit that mate should make it so you can put a bike on the back. Hope your taking the day off tomorrow you defo earned it either way have a good bank holiday
Cheers mate. Spent today at Cadwell for the Brithish Super Bike qualifying, that was my day off. Back on call now until further notice!
little reggie and big ronnie love it the back looks very strange havnt nolt there defo needs something to fill the space
It does look strange but it's also very light with no weight on axle which means we can lift more 💪
Lovely addition to the fleet! How about Rudy for the new name?!
Charlie or Nipper seems to be winning!
If that was mine I would put a crane by the cab to lift broken down motorbikes onto the dead space between the cab and the spec lift just a thought looks good though
That's not a bad idea that mate!
Hi Ihad a transit tipper same model worked it very hard for years very reliable good truck 👍only proplem i had was a fuel pump
Good to know, thanks mate
Lovely looking mk6,i reckon terry the transit
Not a bad shout that mate

Nice one mate, cheers for the info. It really is immaculate, pretty chuffed with it
:)
Nice addition to the fleet 👍👍, Think it should be called Nipper ( Leonard " Nipper " read ) as you bought it to nip about a bit quicker
Oooohhh I like Nipper!
Sticking with the Kray theme… Frances (the Ford)
Ooh I forgot about Frances 🤙
The transit looks a great bit of kit. If you leave some room on the back, get a ramp and then you could recover bikes as well. Charlie is a good name.
Yeah loads of people have said the same mate, need to think about making it a bike recovery truck too
Sweet whip bud, Maybe get a boom winch set on it? Like the 'Merica repo set ups?
Yeah know what you mean. But the winch on Ronnie is just bonkers, I've pulled things out if the depths of hell with my mouth wide open wondering how. Not sure I need a top boom tbh

Nice one mate. Will look ace once done. Charlie would make sense as the name but jack as in jack the hat would be cool.
I think Charlie is winning!
Smart looking truck that mate. Hope it serves you well.
She'll be grand mate, thanks for the comment pal
Love it, as you said with a few storage boxes its a winner..
Yeah, I have a few plans, it'll be a decent workhorse I reckon.
@@Fighting_Torque Takes me back to the days when I was an AA patrol man, I drove a spec around for six years, very handy bits of kit.
Nice truck Ben, make sure you video the transformation and fitting the beacons etc for us all mate 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi mate, thanks. I've already swapped the beacon over but the new pump is coming tomorrow so I will film that 👍
Top man
Love this model of Transit! Had a read of the comments and guess what! I think it should be called Charlie too!

What happened to your other van?
Still got everything my man. I don't sell anything it turns out ha ha
Good luck mate hope it go’s well for you
Thanks mate, spent a week working on it now ad I think it'll be a decent workhorse
You could do some motorcycle recovery with the wasted space 🏍
Great idea, just need to work out how to safely put them on and off 🤔
How about Willy, you could then ask people if they have seen your Willy ? 😂 Great vids as always, keep em up !
Ha ha I'd get arrested!
Terry the transit😊
A popular choice!
Nice mate well in looks clean for a transit
Not a patch of rust which as you know is rare for a Transit! It'll be working by Tuesday so content will follow soon.
You should name the new truck Harley after your best pal, that way he will be always remembered daily 🦮
Oooft I dunno about that mate ha ha. Be in tears every day 😂
Nice bit of kit Ben, put a V8 in it 🙂
Ha ha one V8 is enough mate!

How about Tim for the transit
Few people have said that mate
@@Fighting_Torque you gotta go for it then 🤣
Reggie to go with Ronnie, the recovery twins!
Psssst...Neil....Reggie is the V8 Transit pal, we already have a Raggie on the squad 😂
@SleafordRecovery forgot that! Few other suggestions,Tommy the Transit,or Simple Simon the Spec lift as there's not much to him.

Fork handles!

was going to suggest Reggie, but now think Nipper as seen on anther comment, Nipper Read is spot on, still Krays themed!
So is Charlie though, but I do like nipper 😬
