It's the system. You keep hearing City's squad is so deep etc etc. People forget Sancho left, Alexis Sanchez chose another team, Jorghinio, Fred, Cucurella, Koulibaly. All these players struggled at some time badly. These players would have been seen as world class in the City's system

Man City are their own worst enemy at this point. They can win the Triple if they keep going as they are and Pep not overthinking like he did vs Chelsea in the UCL final. Credit to the team for playing for eachother and Pep for making players even better than they are. Who wouldve thought to have Stones play at midfield, only coach that did that was Mourinho vs Pep in the UCL semifinal

i would suggest that you learn about football and football tactics before making a rubbish post. he didn't overthink against chelsea in the final. he played 1 cdm and 2 cdm's in his first two games against chelsea and still lost so in the final he went with no cdm an extra attacking midfielder to press from the get go and keep the ball in midfield to counter chelsea's defensive counter press approach but chelsea had kante who when fit, equals to two players and the last time a player who was like that was makelele so a very rare type of a player.
so to use the excuse he overthought it is incorrect as the three games he played against chelsea, he played the three ways he could have played and still lost on all occasions as chelsea gave a defensive masterclass thats all it is.

The final scoreline doesn't reflect just how badly Man City outplayed Arsenal. Ramsdale made some huge saves. And City missed some golden opportunities. Pep got his tactics spot on. Credit to all the players & coaches of Manchester City. Fairplay to Arsenal, just wasn't their day. But they have competed so hard this season. Despite the big win. Nothing was decided today. Losing 4-1 is something to be disappointed about I expect a result like that if City were playing a bottom of the table club not a direct rival to the championship the reason Arsenal lost is they have no plan B and they main style of play cant compete with CIty if your going to play against City toe to toe when your team is going through a bad run of run without your best defender its a suicide mission.
At the start of the season I would say finishing top 4 for Arsenal would be considered a success but considering how they were top of the table (and still are) for majority of the season I would say the players and their fans are more sad on what could of been rather thats be happy with top 4.

Last week he gave mad props to De Zerbi and Brighton’s build up play and he utilised some and I stress some of RDZ’s ideas. Arsenal were totally shambolic. They were not hungry. The kind of energy with which Arsenal played was poor compared to their earlier games. They were not tracking back, especially Martinelli and Saka, like they did earlier in the season. I don't see any miracle happening for Arsenal this season. They had it in their hands, and they lost it. Come to think of it, Arsenal have been playing poorly since their game against Liverpool. While Liverpool have been fighting and winning, Arsenal have been disappointing. Do you think it's magic? No, it's not. Liverpool became more hungrier (there was a shift in mentality). Arsenal also had a shift in mentality, albeit a non desirable one.
Credits to Man City. They were outstanding.

Arteta is too soft. Everton, Liverpool and other teams have shown that Arsenal are the same old Arsenal of old that enjoy it when they can play pretty football but go into their shell when you put it up them. Arsenal could have come to The Ettihad today and really got in Man City's faces. Made it a scrap, made life a lot tougher for City. A draw would have been a good result for them and would have arrested this slide. But instead they played meek and mild football, totally intimidated by the opposition and the environment. They actually showed more in the FA Cup game at this same venue a few months ago. Holding wrestled Haaland and got really physical with him and he didn't like it. At the end of the day just 2 teams going in different directions.

It comes down to the tiniest of details at times. maybe if xhaka had kept his head and not gotten the anfield crowd going when they were 2-0, perhaps they would’ve won that game and continued that momentum
