I had a play and it definitely is faster but still a few bugs. One time it left some green squares on one of my moon images until I restarted the app. apart from that it seems an improvement, incremental not revolutionay
I agree that it's an incremental improvement and not revolutionary. I'm just really happy about the memory management and and parallel processing. I want to eventually test AS!4 against AstroSurface.
If you haven't yet, check out the video I uploaded a couple of weeks ago on AstroSurface here: ua-cam.com/video/qGRu48yH3aQ/v-deo.html It's an all-in-one app and pretty amazing.
The sharp one probably has "_conv" in the title, right? If so, that's just for a preview because it's already sharpened. You should use the other one for Registax. The wavelet manipulation will be better. You should also look into AstroSurface. You can do wavelets there too and it's a more recent software. I need to make a tutorial for that application.
Very informative. I went ahead and subscribed. How do I find Emil's discussion on the impact detection feature of AS!4
Thank you 😊
Here's the video, starts to talk about DeTeCt around the 1:06 mark: ua-cam.com/video/JIjXmRh1DE0/v-deo.html
