@@solarwinds5114 I am a prog fan, so yes. But some of his albums are really good (Terria, Deconstruction, Ocean Machine Biomech) and some are just awful in my opinion (Sky Blue, Epicloud).
I’ve been on 4 of these, here’s my personal ranking. 4. Rougoru. Liked it as Mantis. Rode it once in 2017 and it was so unfathomably rough I had to take a Tylenol and a quick nap at the Panda Express. 3. Hydra. This is a fun and mild ride, not much to say other than that. 2. Dominator. Still pretty mild despite it’s size but it’s definitely bigger and more involved than Hydra. 1. Kraken. This ride is a monster compared to the others I’ve been on. Super forceful, super long ride, pretty rattly but that’s ok.
I absolutely love Dominator. I lived 15 minutes from Geauga Lake growing up. Dominator was my very first “big” coaster. I had experienced my first inversions on that same day on the park’s arrow looper and I couldn’t get enough after that. I lapped Dominator for ages that day. It’s a severely underrated coaster
My favorite is Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando followed by Superman: Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Dominator at Kings Dominion, Scream at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Rougarou at Cedar Point and Batman: The Dark Knight at Six Flags New England (it was a tough call between those last two for me).
Glad you liked rougarou! Its the only floorless I've ridden but I thought it was super smooth for its age and its just pure fun. One of my favorite supporting coasters at Cedar Point
Out of the ones I’ve been on I’d rank them 1. Superman Krypton Coaster, 2. Bizarro, 3. Rougarou. All are great coasters and I have a lot of fun on them. For whatever reason, I was surprised at how Bizarro was running when I rode it. It was more forceful than I expected. But you said it, Superman is just in a league of its own. So unique and fun
With Fiesta Texas being my home park Krypton Coaster is definitely rough and showing some age but it has its moments of glory for sure. The entire first section: drop -> loop -> into a quick whip turn -> helix is easily one of my favorite sections on any roller coaster. The quarry wall being so close to the track really helps give a sense of speed and height in the first set of elements. Also of note that you pointed out is that the mid course break doesn't stop at all, it just plunges and whips the whole train into the 2nd half. If you're in the back row you can't really see it coming because of how short the mid course is and it just flys into that drop, it scares people every time.
I just rode Dominator the other day and I really liked it. I kind of wish it had something like a zero g roll or a dive loop though because most of the elements feel kind of similar.
I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but I do really like Firebird. The front is definitely rough, but it's very smooth in the back of the train, and the one headbanging moment there is in the back I can easily avoid by keeping my head forward. Plus, the layout is really fun in my opinion
Dominator is my favorite. Really wanted to like Kraken and Superman because their layouts and presentation are spectacular but I got rough rides on both which turned me off to them. On Kraken I was even in the front row and it was one of the most rattly experiences I've had on a coaster. Will need to give them another shot whenever I get back to the parks.
Gosh I love Rougarou. And the short lines are SOOOO TEMPTING. I’ve never seen it over 15 minutes. But I only go to cp twice a year once in Early June during the Week and once during Mid/Late October
i have not ridden very many floorless coasters but i do think theyare better than the stand up's that came before some of them and rougarou being up on the list more than i thought it was going to be, this is a great video.
Floorless is one of the best configurations, with some of the exposure of inverts without the blind seats. It is a sitdown coaster though, just not that B&M model. It would make sense to me to rate those against the floorless, since they could be converted and there are so few. I had a strange experience with Firebird. At first I said it was exactly the same as before conversion. But due to riding it so much in 2020, suddenly my body finished learning how to deal with the jank in the loop section without thinking about it, leaving only the end of the corkscrew to consciously have to avoid. Started liking it a lot more!
You should have ridden dominator when it was recently added to KD. It was so much smoother than it is now that the paint has worn down. It’s still in my top four at the park, but it could get a bit of love.
I’m the rare breed that likes Firebird. Granted it’s only one of two I’ve ridden but I found it way smoother than Bizarro. (Conveniently both are the first of their kind)
Ridden 7 of the 11 so here's my list 7. Firebird: I like this ride but it's small and has no special elements 6. Batman: small without anything standout. The color scheme is fire though 5. Medusa east (bizarro): so basic and cookie cutter. It's intense but the layout is boring 4. Rougarou: strong first half and some unique elements, it just gets weaker in the back half 3. Dominator: a cool unique layout with an awesome loop filled with hangtime. Wish it had a zero g roll though 2. Kraken: super cool ride with strong elements in a cool setting by the water 1. Hydra: so unqiue, pretty smooth with the jojo roll and even some airtime mixed in!
Dang… you roasted my home B&M… (Firebird). To be fair there are a few moments where I smash my head on the restraint, but I personally don’t think the ride is horrible.
Been on 9 (10 if you count that I rode Firebird as Iron Wolf). My ranking are as follows: 1. Kraken 2. Superman Krypton Coaster 3. Dominator 4. Medusa 5. Batman Dark Knight (My #350 I have ridden) 6. Rougarou 7. Bizarro 8. Scream 9. Patriot I would place Iron Wolf behind PAtriot and I would expect Firebird to be behind it as well. I tend to agree with you on Hydra and I think it would be lower tier to loer-mid tier at best.
I’ve ridden rougarou 5 times, and the last time was my last. It beats my head into oblivion. I’ve tried back, front, and middle and have always had rough awful rides. The rest of these I completely agree with. People sleep on Dominator.
Some hot ish takes here. Maybe warm takes. I think medusa is whippy especially off the midcourse and an easy #2 for me behind kraken. Superman just runs too rough for me 9 times out of 10
rougarou is like scream at sfmm. its just not notable up against so many other standout coasters. in any other park it would be a standout attraction, but at cp, it just padding. no ones going to ride rougarou if they only have one day to get their rides on steve or maverick in
Honestly, nothing against those who really enjoy them, but I really feel like the floorless model is one of my least favorite of the B&M models. I haven’t ridden all of them yet, so I can’t make the greatest statement on it, but between the ones I have ridden they just never super impress me. I’d much rather ride an invert, flying, wing, dive, hyper, or giga than the floorless model. It’s not a bad model, and all the rides are fine and good park fillers, and I generally will ride them. But I’ve never left one going “wow, that was amazing.”

Rougarou was unbearable in the front row, it hurt so bad! I was praying the whole time for it to be over, if there is a next time I’ll ride back row, never front row
I can had to watch the part of the video where you said “and this; whatever this is.” It’s clearly a wonky cobra roll, so just say that. It isn’t some off the wall creation by B&M. I don’t think they have much innovation left, and it’s sad.

It’s not the first time this has happened lol
Except he's not ranking them based on which ones he liked the most.

Putting Dominator in the top 2 is a really weird opinion…

Funny how airtime Thrills and coaster dash uploaded a vid about floorless coasters😂
Finally! You say something nice!
so it's "just a coincidence" that two youtubers upload a comprehensive ranked list of B&M floorless coasters within a couple hours of each other?
Correct but we’ve had an even more specific coincidence happen before 🤷🏻♂️
The timing of this video between Airtime Thrills and you 😂😂
My favorite is Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando followed by Superman: Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Dominator at Kings Dominion, Scream at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Rougarou at Cedar Point and Batman: The Dark Knight at Six Flags New England (it was a tough call between those last two for me).
I really hope to ride Krypton Coaster soon. It could be next summer!
Glad you liked rougarou! Its the only floorless I've ridden but I thought it was super smooth for its age and its just pure fun. One of my favorite supporting coasters at Cedar Point

“warm takes” should be popularized in this community
I’d rank Dominator high up on my list. Let’s just say it dominates my list
Batman the dark night is so underrated it’s my favorite floorless
