Great review, spot on. Can relate to aunties and relatives constantly warning about being pick pocketed.

Haha crossing the road in Vietnam is definitely an adventure! You're right about scooters/motorbikes in the city too, it's way too crazy! Grab is awesome throughout Asia. Really enjoyed how detailed this guide was, but you also made it so fun to watch with the little skits and the great editing! I've gotta say, I do love Vietnamese food - Bahn mi for lunch, Bun Cha for dinner! Awesome job again :)

New subscriber. Really enjoyed your video. I'm moving to Vietnam this summer with my 9-year-old daughter* and we plan to hop around and explore SE Asia and beyond.
*She was born in Hanoi and we lived there for two years before moving to the States.

Thanks! Very informative and fun presentation! Thinking of a family trip (with seniors and a kid) to the Mother Land! I'll be sure to pack hand sanitizers and Pepto Bismol! Where all did you guys stay/travel in the country?

Another awesome informative video guys and pretty spot on with the info there 😉but it's crazy how quickly one can adapt and learn to enjoy some of the Vietnamese ways, such as crossing the roads 😂We have mistakenly just wandered out across the roads here in China a couple of times now without thinking and received some a rather mixed range of looks from the locals 🤣
Favourite SEA cuisine for us so far, is definitely Vietnamese.

Having just come back from 6 weeks in Vietnam, this was really interesting to watch! I don't have kids, but I found myself agreeing with you or thinking about things I'd avoid/do with kids if we had any! haha definitely agree about the food. We found pork gave Ben (my boyfriend) a very bad stomach 99% of the time, but most other meats were fine and I never got sick while we were there. Taking a pram onto those roads would definitely worry me - I think I'd stick to a carrier :) So many good tips here, great video :)

O sweeet we are looking to go to Vietnam next year so super stoked for your Vietnam episodes. I heard the pick pocket problem is pretty bad so we will definitely try and be careful with that one. I didn't realise that food poisining is a problem I thought everything was clean as! thanks for the advice Tina almost walked into a problem hahahahaha.

Haha depends how strong your Asian stomachs are! In our case though, 80% of our wedding party got well acquainted with the toilet bowl. But then again, I heard of people who literally ate off the ground and they didn't get sick. Still worth it though cos the food is THAT good.

Hi there, we've been to Vietnam in September with our baby girl. It's true about the strolers. It's not always that comfortable walking around with them. Especially in the bigger cities we went to; Ha Noi, HCM, Nha Tranh.. There's just always some motorbikes parked on the paths. Especially in Ha Noi the pathways were very very small. HCM actually had some wider ones, but still not comfy.
Vinpearl is great for kids indeed. For babies... there are some attractions. Just be mindful, if your kid is handicapped/in a wheelchair, don't go to Vinpearl. It would be terrible to navigate; there are no elevators whatsoever. Same counts for the big temples and even some hotels. Rarely did we see people in a wheelchair in Viet Nam. My wife being Vietnamese... she explained that elderly people in a wheelchair, they just stay at home. It's not comfy to go around, and it's way too dangerous to cross streets. So be mindful of that.
About the airports.. In Ha Noi and Nha Tranh (well that city next to it with the airport.) we did get priority into the check-ins and even into the plane. It was super nice! The staff just came to us and asked us to come along first. Maybe it won't happen always, but to us we got priority. :)
Grab for taxi rides. Yes indeed this is a very reliable way to get from A to B. You can get picked up about anywhere you like. + what we did, they also had food delivery, like rice soups. We used this a lot to feed our baby. The wide range of different tastes of rice soups were a blessing for us to keep our baby fed.
But using Grab is maybe somewhat harder to use if you don't speak Vietnamese. Only few drivers we had, and.... we had lot of Grabs in 4 weeks time, they just didn't speak English at all.
So what happens when you order a Grab, you can see when the driver is nearby, you will see him drive on your phone bc of his GPS location.
And at some point when he's nearby, he will give you a ring. Which... will be in Vietnamese at least 90% of the time.
Even in big cities, English isn't spoken much. Taxi drivers, local people, policemen, steetfood places, restaurants, shops, etc. Though in Hotels and all it should be pretty fine.
    Love your video!

Thanks, man! Look, to be fair... We were all drunk that night and my cousin's senses probably weren't on point lol. But, we have heard from locals that it happens often.

Good to see drivers taking notice of the zebra crossing 😂 Seriously, what’s the point?
That deal on the SIM card was pretty sweet! 10 bucks for all that is great.
My fav food from Asia has to be Thai. I could go for a pineapple fried rice right now.

Haha, I know right? Could've saved on the paint. Yeah, Thai is still by far my fave but Viet probably comes in as next best.
