GDs are just a shadow of the big hunters they once were. Glad to see someone willing to put the time and resources to help him.

This was a cool transformation to get to see! From the reactivity to the dogs in the beginning to all the dogs roaming all around him at the end was so awesome! He will be living a much more relaxed life now.

Haz and all the fantastic trainers at Shield K9, you all know exactly what each dog needs to live a happy life. Shield K9 training is so great because dogs get to play and learn all at the same time. I'm so happy Dutton is feeling much better.

Looking to possibly make the trip with a GSD rescue rehab from Louisiana.
He’s not aggressive, but he doesn’t know what to do with himself. Today was my 2nd day with him. I put peanut butter in a kong to break the ice and it worked. But he seemed frightened when I tossed it. It was a 2 second reaction. He was interested in it, but then decided to run away.
He seemed to want to approach me yesterday, but he just wasn’t sure. Today was definitely a huge improvement. I’m doing short sessions with him daily to try to establish a bond.
I’m really enjoying your content. I really hope Luke and I can make the trip up.

Great Danes mostly need to be around people that they are going to be around, they treat strangers with aggression. They really are big pups,I have worked with very aggressive ones and when they got too tired they wanted water.Relax with them you will understand why German dog breeds are so protective.Show them love they will give their life for you

Rescued a Dane back in 2000 like Dutton. Except when Dutton backed away from the barking dog at the beginning, mine would have gone right at the other dog.
We managed to get him turned around for several years. Then his aggression went over the top. Tried to kill two dogs, including our Rottie female.
He was allowed to cross the Bridge, as there was no one like Haz to help.

      You couldn't train him yourself?

    • @1packatak
      @1packatak 4 дні тому

@@CentralAsianShepherdLover I used 3 excellent trainers. And worked my arse off trying to get him “fixed”. But there was always “something” about him that never let me trust him. And when he tried to kill the dogs, it became clear that he was a serious danger. A consultation with my vet, a behaviorist that one of my trainers recommended, and another trainer that I found (all these in addition to the previous trainers I had worked with) all came to the same conclusion.
I did leave out that he had also gone after several people, including me.
There are just some dogs that cannot be “saved”.

Sadly, what you see here in an example of the destruction of the Great Dane by backyard breeders. That dog is a pitiful. His temperament and his structure are way off. He will die at 6 or 7. Breaks my heart jus to look at him.

"We have the best trainers in the world here" honestly Haz you ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is probably the best in the world. What a stupid, arrogant and disrespectful comment, the old Haz never spoke like this, he was too humble.

Well, they do! And he’s merely paying a compliment to his amazing trainers. The fact that you find this offensive is insane.

I bought Haz’s book and now my dog is 2 years old and has perfect obedience on and off ecollar. He seems to really simplify training. And this is the first dog I trained from a puppy and he’s off leash every day. I’m VERY pleased. I can even get him to spit out food he’s picked up from the ground when not wearing an ecollar. It’s science lol.

Who exactly are you talking to. The average person does not want so intence a dog also my alsation or german shephard can do all your dog does more calm I'm 88. A female. Why do you guys talk so much. What is the second collar you have on the dog. I dont like such a pent up dog, he is a fine looker , stressful to watch. I'm sure a lot of people would pay big money for him. Ego thing.
