Running is definitely good for you, but she is correct about the notion that so many fitness obsessed people don't really enjoy life because they are preoccupied with being "healthy" and maximizing "longevity". Life should be enjoyed. Don't stress over exercise.

It feels wonderful to get out on an October morning and go for a jog, breathe in the crisp autumn air, and then for the rest of the day you feel relaxed and alert. Some of my happiest moments in the last 10 years were runing. Like, actual euphoria, made me probably look like an idiot. That said, it can be a miserable slog sonetimes too. Well, but it is also absurd to have a federal income tax for rich people that is about 50%. There are safe made rich people, who worked their behinds off to get where they are. Besides, 20% of 50k is not the same as 20% of 200k a year. Out of whos tax payment do you buy i.e. more hospital equipment for children? Make it 15 and 25%, everybody can live with that. But 10% and 50% would just be nuts. And it drives me crazy when people say rich people pay the same as poor people, they do not

I have never had more enjoyment that can compare to the feeling of well being I get after a good workout and those endorphins are flowing.
