Well, 1.41 is not really "as shown", as what is shown is 31% Red, 49%Green, and 20% Blue. Should the colours of the Bayer pattern not have been moved one space (for instance one space to the right), so that the corners and mid of the image, would have been green, rather than red, effectively making the colours as shown, 25% each for Red and Blue, and 50% for Green

Apparently green is the color our eyes are the most sensitive so the sensor follows the same pattern.
