This is an important concern, and I would love to hear others chime in on this. There is a definite loss of natural artistic depth and more of that human touch in a lot of the different artistic things you can do with MidJourney. It's almost like there is more of a DALL·E 3 perfection. In other words, I'm seeing a blunted creative expression when generating different types of art. I'm hoping this is something they're aware of and will try to balance out
If there's a specific art style you want you can always try style reference. I think Midjourney does a pretty good job of following the prompts overall, if you're specific about what the output image should look like it usually works pretty well. They are also planning to add control net which will give a lot more control over the Ai images
@@taoprompts Thanks for responding. Yes, I mostly use Sref, and it's unreal. Since my post, I have found that versions 6 and 6.1 work well together. When I use Sref in version 6 and I'm not getting too much abstraction, I can switch to version 6.1 versus using --s for more clarity, etc. Have you tried Prome AI? It's ControlNet-based. It gives you an easy idea of how ControlNet can work. MidJourney with ControlNet will be the next quantum leap, like Sref. I can't believe how awesome this all is.
One of the new features of midjourney is the x2 scaling with better quality. Would it be convenient to use this option for scaling? or do we continue using programs like gigapixel?
@@taoprompts Do you recommend directly scaling native midjourney images in gigapixels? Or do we scale x2 in midjourney and then scale the rest that we are missing in gigapixels? To achieve the highest possible quality.
@@alfonsosoler3476 You'd have to test it out yourself, my feeling is you'd get better results by upscaling in Midjourney first and then gigapixels because the Midjourney upscaler is specifically designed to work on Midjourney images.
Did it get the "keep prompting" right eventually? If so, how many times did you have to get it to do it? For me, it took 30 times per image...at least...
too bad, but Midjourney is no longer in fashion. It made its subscribers flee to other sites that were more flexible and offered a minimum of free use.....

Midjourney also having difficulty generating characters lying dead on the ground. You get a lot of really weird results.
That is one of the harder poses to get right in Midjourney, I have a lot of trouble generating prone characters also

For 2x upscaler Midjourney is good, but for higher resolutions you will need an external upscaler
