Nice to see the new upgrades to the Log Ox. I wonder if the new easy pins will work in the original design? We have the old version and don't use it as much because of the small pins and hair pins with gloves is frustrating. Thanks for the video Andrew.😁👍🚜💨
Hi MJA, thanks for your question. All of the new attachments (handle, pins, timberjack) are designed to attach to the old model as well. We sell those three new parts as an upgrade package and also just a 3-pack of the Swing Lock Connection pins on our website.
I've got the older version of the 3-in-1, had it for well over a year now. I absolutely love mine!!!! It goes to every job with me (actually stays in the truck so I always have it). There is also enough room in the storage bag that I can fold up my chaps and store them in there too. I use it for splitting wood also, like you figured, the lift is great for putting wood up on the splitter!! I know you will absolutely love yours.
That's great to hear Rodney, thanks! By the way, we recently started carrying an upgrade package on our website with the longer handle, Bigfoot Timberjack attachment, and 3 swing lock connection pins for folks like you who have the older model and might want to upgrade.
One thing about cutting firewood it can never be cold enough! That tool does a great job . Like you say time will tell. If it does this well over several years it'll be great. I can't get enough of watching somebody else work! Thanks man enjoyed it.
Hey Andrew. This looks like a very useful tool. We primarily heat with wood so we cut a lot of it. You mentioned in the video that there would be a discount code in the description but I'm not seeing it. Can you tell me where to find it?
Hey there Big Guy… grab it more towards your center and then you can keep knocking your ends off for the balance and you’re no where near the dirt!!! Yeah man… guy’s who don’t use or have never used a pickeroon just don’t have a clue what they are missing!!! The log tote is super awesome!!! As you ain’t bending that back over and over!!! I highly recommend that if a guy has several cord a year to bring in to get two of those lift hook setup’s so you have one in each hand and you can walk balanced!!! On your pickeroon the trick is the little flip or frick at the end of your tossing of the chuck… it’s a little (twist out) not a straight yank back … because it’s got the little curve on it’s tip so it’ll not drop the pieces… so it’ll hold onto them it’s hooked… so you want to have your hook curved down then you swing it underhand and as your piece is flying towards your truck or pile … and it’s a little pop down motion to release that hook from your hunk…. God Bless you and mama and the whole family, brother! Hopefully this last storm didn’t tear up too many of your trees!!! Man O man!!! That’s a big old beautiful lightert stump!!! I love having a little box of those chunks!!! Dang great starter!!! I built a little wooden box like a little foot locker out of untreated 5/4 deck boards!!! I ran them threw the planer until I had 3/4” thick boards… a little lid with an old hatch and stained 1/2 walnut and 1/2 dark cherry mixed stain!!! Turned out looking like an old wooden trunk!!! You need a two piece bazooka slingshot… so you can shoot your pull line into your canopy then pull up your bull rope then you hitch your bull rope onto the block and tackle system or your 5 to 1 with a brake is real great because everything that you can get on your pull is held until you want to release it!!! You can just grab a double and a triple pulley that has a good eye on them so you can snap them onto a steel carabiner!!! Then grab 150’ of 1/2” 16 strand rope! Even two double wheel pulleys and then you bring your rope back and terminate it around your carabiner above the double… that’s like 4 to 1… a 200lb man pulling with his body weight in the snatch is like an 800lb. Yank on the crown of the top of the canopy… when you bend them over into the right direction… it’s just fantastic! We pull them back over themselves and opposite their leans all the time… a decent size little 4 wheeler or UTE is fantastic for the pulley rig!!! You add a couple wedges to help too and you can make a big 3’ thick son of a gun go back over itself… the important thing is to make a deep open face wedge cut… a good 1/3 of the tree then come across 2”’s above your center line… I’ll usually pull it back… and make some of the back cut… up to 1/2 the thickness of the tree !!! So it’s bending over where you want it to go… then pop in a little face cut and wack!!! Another one bites the dust!!!
@@TKCL right on… yeah man… my buddy actually showed me the underhand toss… if you look at the hook as the wood is flying forward… it’s actually digging in even harder because of the way that hook end is curved!!! If you yank back or jerk back the handle you are actually biting in even deeper… you want a casual swing and then you want to try and smack the chuck of wood with the bottom of the handle… as it’s rolling through you bang the handle with your open palm… I’m all about a little leather piece of cordage that’s wrapped around my wrist!!! Swing it up through then bang! The handle forward!!!! 😁👍
Hello Andrew, you are excell at product reviews. This product is excellent for firewood, versatile and well made. I'm looking forward to more firewood videos. Loved seeing Ruger out in the woods with you. 🐾🐾
Looks like a Neat tool Andrew, one question I never saw that paint marker that you used I must have missed it in an older video. Next time you do a firewood video can you talk about that as well. can you set the log length and it puts a mark on the logs? looks easier then a tape ruler and manual marking.
Hi Andrew looks like a pretty good tool to help out with fire wood. Looks like a nice day in the bush for cutting down trees and cleaning up. Take care. 🌞🇨🇦
Find that funny I have a tool that's over 50 years old just like your new 1 it's called a pivi this 1 has the leg on it instead sted of the point on the end like most there for turning over big logs but this 1 was made for getting the log up off the ground to buck it up they have a big wood handle and last forever we have over 3 ft round trees some over 12ft
The main difference between a Peavey like you have and a Cant Hook, which is one of the functions of the LogOX 3-in-1 Forestry MultiTool, as you note, is the base piece. Peavy's have an advantage in certain circumstances, like separating logs from a pile, but in general, we prefer our cant hook's chiseled toe design for gripping and controlling the log as we roll it. For larger logs like you're describing, instead of using the LogOX as a timberjack and lifting the log to buck it, what you would do is make your desired length cuts 3/4 of the way through the log, down the entire length of the log, then use the LogOX as a cant hook to roll it over and finish the cuts. We recommend this technique for most logs larger than 12" in diameter since it's just easier than fighting gravity.
Now, Andrew, I am not going to say anything nice this time, you simply shouldnt get yourself in dangerous situation unless utterrly neccessary! And alone in the woods, really!!🤨
Thanks for putting the LogOX to the test, we're glad to see you're enjoying it so much. Adding the PickOX to the handle extension and using it in tandem with the Hauler can really help double your output, great demo!
hi well done looking to see thats everything is ok after the storm john
Thank you sir, all is well.
Hallelujah for cooler weather! A beautiful day to be in the outdoors working.
Yes finally!
Thanks Andrew for another awesome video...
Thank you for watching

@@LogOXUSA Awesome!!! Thanks for the reply to my question have a great week 😁👍🚜💨🍳
Need to get yourself the holster for it. Work the log splitter it comes in handy not reaching to the ground for the tool and having it at your side.
It did come with a belt carrier, I'm assuming that's what you are referring to.
@@TKCL yes. You will enjoy it when you are running the log splitter . Especially when firewood rounds are on the ground.
After the LogOX Hauler, the Holster was the second thing we invented. Definitely a must-have for loading a splitter.

Amen to that, always get hot.
Magnolia wood burns a beautiful color too.
Ruger playing tug-o-war at 14:25 is too cute!
😍
Great review as usual. Your assistant looks like he's have a great time.
He's been a big helper
Nice review! Aren't you just loving this weather? Ruger is still growing like a weed! I think you have you a great companion there!! God bless.
This weather has been perfect

Sorry about that, I did forget it, use code COUNTRYLIFE for $10 off.
Yay for cooler weather.
My late husband's favorite sayingbwas: "The right tool for the right job". He was so right in that statement!

Nicely done, best part about the tool is; MADE IN THE U.S.A.
That's the only way we'll ever make it.
Well thought out innovative tool... 🙂
Thanks Robert!
Fire wood season you'll work off some Tiffany's good cooking, that's a great wood cutting aid
Sure will 🤣
cool product! Might need to buy one for gramps
I really like my log ox had it for a long time and it's held up and they also sell a fire wood tote that is great to
Glad to hear that
Bring on the wood splitting videos.
I have one of these I bought earlier this year, havent had the chance to use it yet. Good review.
Tis the season
Can't wait for the first firepit🔥fire video of the Fall!! I know Bullet will be excited for it too! LOL!!
He does like a good fire!
Hey at least I bet Chris lol 🧀🧀🪤🪤
Fall is here my ac is sure happy!!!! Did you gets get anything off Ian?
Just some wind, that's all.
Could you drag out whole logs and cut at the shed? Seems like you'd save some lifting that way.
In some situations yes, I can't access it there.
Looking forward to firewood. Lol. Hope all's well after Ian.
All is well, thank you.
Andrew what ever your content you always make it interesting Thank you!!

Bought my dad a log ox a few years ago and he loves not having to bend over picking up rounds. Thank you for the review Andrew
Great tools
Awesome tool.
That's quite the workout. You always do such a good job on reviews.
Thank you very much
Definitely going get my spouse one of those. 😎

Different size wheels. See his video from last year. ua-cam.com/video/x8v0CGK5eDs/v-deo.html
I've mentioned it in several videos, I'll show it again soon. You purchase different size wheels for the firewood length you want. I love that tool

Nice to see the firewood season is back. I got the WoodChuch Dual Pro as well as the Fiskars Pickaroon. Great tools.

It should come in handy.
Need to sharpen that chain mate
It makes me happy that you wore chaps to do this. I've seen when a chain throws and guys aren't wearing chaps. +1 from me 🤘
It's tough to wear them in Florida heat, but I'm getting better.
Yeah, firewood!
All the new tool showed off and you didn't even show off your new chaps
Awww come on, I've had those chaps for a couple of years now.
Hi, Andrew! Awesome review. I am ready to watch some log splitting videos. I will see you at the livestream.

That's the way it goes when cutting firewood, there's no one else here to work that with me. Tiffany is off working her job.
@@TKCL No, it's not what I meant, it was taking risky ones on your own!
All tree cutting is definitely risky, I do my best to evaluate each situation and approach it with caution.
