- inkallusions.bl... yes, these are all the rage right now. mine will be used with my students to help with their stamping endeavors. am still thrilled with my mini misti but these will be perfect for the kiddos and when you want to have an assembly line stamping and cardmaking session. thanks for watching.
Just came across this. Great for card crafters who can’t afford to get a Misti
Looks perfect for kids to use, hope they have fun using your DIY tool.
well hey there. long time no hear from. hope you are doing well. i do think this will work better for them as some just could not get the hang of the acrylic blocks and I did not have enough of the MS or Fiskars stamp presses. only have four and had 12 crafters. I have amassed 14 water brushes.
Been doing well, just busy with work and life. I repurpose the magnetic sheets too from the Darice dies too. Thank goodness the kids have a teacher like you to have a creative after school program, they seem to be far and in between these days. I love your son's rat, I have three that I use for Halloween, but mine are about twice the size with red glowing eyes! Lol...spooky!
Wonderful tutorial Ty 👍🏼
Oh my gosh.....Love Love this hack. each image I stamped, came out perfect. It took about 5 min. to find everything in my craft room. What a great new tool to use now. Thanks.
This is a awesome idea! I know that when I make Christmas cards, or a bunch of other kinds of cards that I could use something like this for my sentiments...Just the perfect size..Thank you so much..I loved it..Subscribed and gave a thumbs up..I admire people like you that help and teach kids! That in itself is AWESOME!
I've been on several sights to get this but yours is the best, clear and no extra gabbing. Thanks so much
thank you Elizabeth. glad I was able to help you.
I have done something similar, but with the clear picture frames flat one with magnet on the back, I put tape to loxk them together and in one of the slit i put a magnet sheet and cut some foam and add a small trim, a little more of work but it is way bigger and works for larger size cards!
i saw a few of the picture frame ones on YT. Wasn't sure I wanted to tackle that. Maybe down the road. I was wondering if a plexiglass tray would work and then purchase a lid for the top and connect with screws. Those trays are ALL over Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I might have to go on a hunting expedition to see what other cost-effective alternatives are out there. Do you have a picture of yours posted anywhere. I would love to see it. Thanks for watching and for the ideas.
Thank you, Vee. I made one from a UA-cam video that is very similar. This looks like a great idea for your class room and my work table. I just can't justify spending that much money on a piece of plastic. Maybe some day in the future my budget will allow for that expense. In the mean time, I am thankful for people like you coming up with less expensive contraptions.
oh Joyce, you make my heart sing. i am just delighted that i can make several and put each stamp that is part of a scene on a different case and not have to change out the stamps. I do think this will increase my production level. one can hope anyway. Thanks for watching. I am on a spending FREEZE for a LONG time.
HA! HA! I have been on a spending freeze for 5 years now but my credit card bill just keeps getting higher and higher. I haven't been able to fiqure it out.
this is ever so easy, why didn't I think of it. I am making these for stamp camp for everyone. thank u for sharing.
I really like this idea and the magnet to hold the paper is so clever.
Thank you for sharing yours is the best I have seen so far
There you go, Veronica, always thinking. :) What a great idea, especially for kids, but the card party sounds like fun, too!
Chris, you just don't know. That card party along with a bottle or three or case of wine sounds delightful. Even my non-stampers can get in on the action and i can bring them over to our side. i am definitely going to have to plan that event. thank you so much for watching and commenting; it means a lot to me.
I love my Misti, but this is a great idea for the kiddos to use! I bet they will love it. I will have to do this with my Grandkids, they love crafting with Grandma.
love it cuz everyone don't have lots of money to buy all things to do card making thank you so much keep up the good idea
Christine, I hear you and I agree. I have seen others do the same with a DVD case. I don't need anything that large. Give it a go. I know I have shelves of cases sitting around. the slim jim cases will NOT work as they are not deep enough. Yes, I tried to see if those would work.
I was going to get a misti, but now I don't have to spend the money. Great tutorial!
Very innovative! Just saved me a lot of money !
this is such a wonderful idea! especially for your kids.
Thanks for sharing this !! Very easy, inexpensive way to do mass production of cards.
I'm definitely going to be making myself one once I can purchase some magnets and
something "magnetic" to hold the magnet(s) on cardstock, etc. GREAT video!!
Thx for sharing yr creation.Luv the video!
Wow!! What a great idea. Thank you very much.
Great! The children are fortunate to have you. Just one note of caution about the magnets: I'm sure your children are older, but just remind them that these magnets are toxic if swallowed, so they should be careful if they use their stamping tool around their younger siblings.
Karodora, thanks and I will let them know. Although these will be used in school only, if they decide to make one at home I will send home a printed out WARNING sheet with the materials list. Many of my students are the oldest in their families. Better safe than sorry. Thanks again.
Awesome!
thanks, Donna. I love saving money where I can. Like I said in the vid this will definitely be the most cost effective method for my kiddos.
Awesome😀👍
What a great idea!
Love this DIY!!! TFS
Thank you for the great idea!
Thank you so much Veronica, I had tried to make a bigger version with very little success but your version has turned out beautifully and I'm busy making them for my crafting friends. Thanks for sharing your talent !!
Great idea! Thanks!
Great ideal, love it❤️
Dollar Tree is selling this huge wall paper locker magnet that you can cut to size. You get 2 of them in a package. They are are only selling them for back to school right now. I am just getting into crafting but its just an idea. I might be totally wrong on this idea.
oh wow, i just left there. will have to go back tomorrow and look for it. thanks for letting me know.
You are so Smart... Love this!!! ;) ...
This so cool! Thank you.
Great thinking!!!
Great idea and video as always. hugs from Ky.💟

I have not post it, because Im stuck in the hospital most of the time, Nicu Baby.

I love it
Love this idea, you can find more of the earth magnets at Michaels, and I know you will use the coupons. lol
oh, Margaret, you know me well. i will have an opportunity to stock up before September. on a different note, I sent a viewer to your channel to inquire about African American stamp images. loving your vids. wish I was a knitter or crocheter. keep up the great work.
Love, love, love this idea. Thank you so much for sharing this.
thank you Anne for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment. it means a lot to me.
wonderful idea, thanks for sharing:) have a blessed week:)
thank you so much. i am floating around Christmas card ideas in my head as I type. i really need a maid. then I could spend more time being creative. here's to a blessed and productive week for you too. tfw.
Brilliant
thank you
for the magnetic sheet, you can try the vent covers (air conditioner duct).
Mary Centex you are right and I do have some. I was trying to be frugal and recycle. Thanks for watching and for sharing.
Thanks, would not be soon but as fast I come home I will Pinterest.
Hi Veronica, thanks for the video, I love your idea. I have 2 DIY stamps tools, one if from a frame from IKEA , I saw the idea on a stamp group I am in on FB and the other is from a discontinued Cuttlebug folder, I saw that idea on youtube too. I won't buy a Misti, don't like Iliana's business practices. But that has no place here. You can get magnetic sheets at Walmart in the kids craft aisle, or I buy magnetic vent covers at Home Depot.
thank you Paula. I do have some sheet covers from HD. for those of us on a serious budget, i wanted everyone to know that those Darice sheets are great in a pinch. I saw the picture frame idea but it looked a bit complicated to construct. how do you like yours? after purchasing mine i discovered they are no longer made in the USA because of the etching on the lid. that was my ONLY reason for supporting the business. there are A LOT of companies located here that can do the etching. shucks, they can purchase the machine themselves that will do it. you live and learn. that is why i am delighted with this alternative. thanks for watching and for your helpful suggestions.
you don't have to construct the Ikea picture frame; it comes already hinged. I only added foam and magnetic sheet and it was good to go. It is a Helmsboro frame, I thing I have that spelled correctly. $4.99 at Ikea. What a deal!
oh man my reply went into the nether world. anywho my nearest IKEA is about 20 miles away but there is Family Dollar near there so a two-fer. thanks for the info.
its Hemmingsbo frame and it's white. 81/2 by 11, so great for those larger projects! Have fun shopping
you go girl. excellent idea. I have a lot of those CD cases. can I use any magnet sheet if I don't have any darice dies?
hi janet, and please forgive me as i missed your comment. Any magnet sheet will do. I was simply trying to upcycle what I already owned and those that come with the Darice dies are super magnetic. hope you found everything you needed to make yours. happy stamping!!!
What was the die you got the magnetic sheet from? I never had magnetic sheet coming with my dies, great savings with those. Thank you for another great video
Hello Naticris. The magnetic sheets are included with ALL of Darice Dies. Mine came from the Bird Cage set. Look at any that are wide and they will be perfect. Those are STRONG magnetic sheets. I like their delivery method as I don't have to yank them away from glue or cut them apart. I hope you did not accidentally toss yours. The sheet can be found between the folder for the die. Hope this helps.
+Veronica Chambers Thank you
I bought everything I needed but forgot about the magnetic sheet. And don't hve the Darice ones. Where can I get magnetic sheets. Thanks for the great video.
Hello Mickey Jo. You can find the magnetic vent covers at your local home store. i.e. Home Depot. Lowe's and ACE Hardware. I also found them at my dollar tree for you guessed it 1$. Also Michaels, JoAnns and AC Moore should carry the small magnetic sheets and you can use a COUPON!!! Thanks for watching and have fun crafting!!!
Thanks for writing back. I ordered my magnets last night on Amazon. And forgot to have hubby go by the dollar store. Grrrrrrr
Neat and a less expensive version, how do you do multiples or step stamping so the paper is in the same place every time?
hello and thanks for watching. i would suggest using one of the corners as there is a lip on the cd case and adhere your piece with a magnet or a piece of washi tape if you don't have a magnet underneath the foam. hope this helps.
Hi, What size cards does the mini fit? Thank you
hi Deborah, it is just under 5"x5"
