Man, I really love the amazing sound of the engine on those Peugeot 206's, especially in the onboard footage. And those were among the best & most reliably built rally cars in the WRC at the time!
They won 3 manufacturers titles in a row with it, absolutely dominated 2002, pretty reliable overall disregarding a few problems that could have happened to anyone at that point, not to say they won both titles in their first full season

The crash that bulgaski had to end his rally on board is the exact same footage he had in the previous stage just on board showing his face because he seems to be going way too fast for a car in the condition that showed when he came out of the tunnel. Just watch both crashes and youll see its exactly the same. I'm pretty sure he probs just had the car stop on him or they decided to not show it

Its funny that the crowd control was still minimal, one of the reasons why the group B ended. These cars were much faster than group B cars, it was an shamefull end. RIP Henkka, Sergio, Attilio and Michel Wyder.

Have no idea why Mitsubishi changed to 7. They were shite. 6.5 or 6 were performing and clearly Makkinen is on top of that car. The change to new car is the only reason why he lost in 01. Embarassing.
They decided since fia never banned the use of group a cars in 97 to just keep developing the Lancer rather than developing a whole new car. This worked until 2001. They were the only team that had a group a car so fia forced them to use a wrc car by the end of 2001.The started developing the Lancer wrc very late though (it was basically the Evo 6,5 with a different bodyshell) and by the time the San Remo rally came the had to debut it. But due to the lack of testing the car was very heavy and it had transmission problems.

They were having problems with spectators in the last few years of San Remo, so they moved it to Sardinia in 2004

Not true, Group B was faster actually. But on top of that they were a lot less safe than Group A/WRC
