- Mama and 5 of the kids (Pearl, Elijah, Anna, Melody & Moses) go on a shopping journey at the Target at Columbus Circle, NYC. We were on the hunt for Christmas Decor! We found some cute things and the prices were actually pretty good! We are excited to put up our Christmas tree soon! The kids have turned the ornaments they picked into toys lol so I'm not sure if they will make it onto the tree but at least the red ball ornaments we picked (and the lights) will probably work out. Also we went to a Boba place. They didn't have the gingerbread men cups, but it tastes just as yummy in a normal cup I think!😅 #largefamilylife #nyc #targethaul
You have a great husband and a great family! It is nice that you listened to your son's opinion about the color of the ornaments, but you certainly can switch up the colors any way you want, and it will still be Christmas.! Bedsides that you and your husband are paying the bill! Go ahead switch it up and have more than one tree!

Costco had the best wrapping paper , double sided and doesnt rip and tear like the cheap paper does.

Fun time to watch shopping in Target in Manhattan. Never had Bubble Tea/Milk tea. Going to have to try it now.
It’s really good! In San Francisco they had aloe Vera bubble tea that was really interesting too!

Hi Amber! If you're open for suggestion, I think someone recommended "Cadence" for your baby girl's name on a video some while ago and I think it's cute to match with Melody's name! Cadence means the ending of a phrase in music, and although you said that you want 12 kids, it's still as cute haha. But it's back on you and your family!

Looking at the felt ornaments reminds me of when we lived in Germany and the true story of Hänsël & Grëtël and gingerbread…I miss Nüremberg…I’m grateful to see NY through your sweet family. I hope Melody Joys cough gets better. I have lots of home “tried & true” remedies if you’d like..
Pure honey coats the throat plus medicinal properties. Marshmallows (the powder) coats the throat. Lemon, ginger & honey (2-5 ml) in WARM water and also horehound. VICKS is always a helper in EVERYTHING~gargling warm salt water (I feel she’s old & smart enough)cool mist Humidifier IF her lungs are clear. Saline drops if she has a WET cough. IF she starts struggling after coughing to catch her breath, wet harsh cough please have her looked at for RSV. I KNOW you know your babies best but I’m just offering suggestions to assist. Nothing but love🥰 from Nana in Utah

Omg my goodness target is my favorite store. I would get lost.
I give you a lot of credit living in New York City with all that walking,taking the subway in the dark ness of evening,with children, shopping and carrying everything back and expecting a baby soon. I prefer driving store to store and shopping for sales. There’s no way I’d want to live there.
Yes! I understand! The walking is good exercise but it’s pretty hectic!

Yes! I usually tell them to cough in their elbow but it’s a continual lesson to learn.

The new thing is Pinkmas, I love it, guys not so much. I do traditional Xmas colors but this year we’re doing a small tree all girly pink. My husband is ok with it. Target has awesome ornaments and decorations. Loved watching you guys shop ❤

When my son was MO’s age, he spotted a tiny nut cracker on one of our outings, he LOVED IT! Carried it everywhere! So every year he got a new Nut cracker! Sadly, my son went to heaven when he was 17… Everytime I see a nutcracker, my heart melts ❤❤❤

New York is so magical at Christmas time 🎄⛸️🛷 I looked at those ornaments too...they are adorable 😊 It's going to be great getting the tree up and decorated before baby comes❤ Blessings 🙏
I don't like pink because in the gaudy way it is too obtrusive. The pink ornaments you liked are fine, they are more toned down and I would use them on my tree.
I have no specific colour scheme or theme for my tree. I use white lights and ornaments who were in my family for more than 70 years. After all these years they are a mix of all colours and shapes, but mostly silver and red. If I see an ornament that I like or find funny I buy it as a new one that year. I play violin, too and I have pendants in the shape of musical instruments for the tree. And I sometimes make ornaments from wood with my scroll-saw. So on my tree there are different materials, shapes, colours, all a crazy mix, but it is tradition and I like it.
And I'm from Germany, the region of Erzgebirge. It is called the christmas land, so of course I have lots of decorations like nutcrackers, angels, pyramids and candle arches (Schwibbogen). Our christmas season (or better: Advent season, christmas starts December, 24th here) starts after Dead Sunday (this year November26th), so we can decorate after this date. It is a homely/cozy time and I'm looking forward to it.

Good Morning! Costco has excellent wrapping paper. We go through so much wrapping paper (large family issues, haha.) Target has a lot of Christmas decor! Those lingering coughs are always the worst.
