How it works: Fixed Temperature Mechanical Heat Detector

This was an Edwards 283B-PL 135 degree heat detector that was thrown away at work because it can't be tested per NFPA standards without blowing the fixed element. I thought of it as a perfect opportunity to find out how these things work so I opened it up, set up some cameras, and shot a video.
