I have a 1957 Haynes handmade flute that I have had overhauled several times (the last time by the Haynes Co.) However, this time I took it to a local repair shop and he told me that the Haynes co. had put in the wrong pad’s. I took his word for it and learned that the old Haynes flutes do not take kindly to the new professional type pads, so the flute does not respond like it once did, and it is difficult to play. Can you recommend the name of the pads you have in your Haynes flute. Replacement value on my Haynes flute is at $15,500. My intermediate level $2,000 Pearl flute is playing more responsive. Thank you.

Flutorial, folks
So glad I found your channel. I have been saying the “nose-thing” for years. I love your album with Jason Vieaux. The Bach is glorious.
Thanks
