Hey John, love you videos. I fish a lot of small streams like you do only I fish in north central Pennsylvania in the mountains near Williamsport . What kind of wondering what you would suggest for a rod and reel to fish those small creeks, the Mountain Streams where you don't have much room to cast. I see you using a small rod sometimes and was just wondering what you would recommend. Also want to invite you if you ever get down to my area near Williamsport it would be great to know and to take you out into some beautiful Mountain Streams and fish for Native brookies and Browns
So I know people have different prefences and I notice a lot of guys fishing longer rods on small creeks to dapple flys or reach their flies into tight spots. I however prefer a really short rod so I can cast under branches and also its easier to carry through bushwacks and such. I guess its personal presence but I love 6'6" length rod, 1-3 weight. Looks like you have a ton of nice creeks around your area. Its a little outside my daytrip range but I would love to get down there at some point! Thanks for comment/question
I would appreciate a short video on how to get such great camera work! Btw...as not only an angler but also a guitar picker i love youre tunes... Also is there a way to contact you...I'm not on social media...is there a website email??
My local Creek has stocked and wild when they reduced stocking numbers it’s amazing how little fish are actually in the system. I used to think I was catching wild fish…nope. Displaced is all. Healthy populations should not need stocking. I did fish a pure wild stream this year, but its numbers are also down.
Yeah it can be hard to distinguish sometimes. I worked for VT Fish and Wildlife and DEC and did a lot of fish surveys and got decent at telling the difference. I'm not a huge fan of stocking over wild fish but this creek is fished so hard I don't know if the wild population would take the pressure.
In Phoenix it's more like when are we going to get a cloud to block the sun. Not son finally came out😂 we ain't got no water to fish like that either. Desert wasteland worst place for fishing unless you like canals filled with homeless people
I think there is a catch and release section below where I was fishing but when they have done surveys I don't think they found any significant difference in numbers.
Always great to see your video work, it's beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Tight Lines!
Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it !
Breakfast, coffee and a dead drift outdoors video. Great way to start the morning.

Fun day. Beautiful water. Excellent intro (as usual). You're getting kinda handy with those drone shots!
Thanks so much appreciate your feedback as always! I do like flying the drone
Yep, know the creek well, but fun to revisit with you, a great day John!

Super day John. Thanks

Pretty location, thanks for sharing.
I agree it is a beautiful stream!
Nice video! That dry fly eat by the bridge was awesome.
Glad you liked it! I was psyched I got that shot.
Great video. Loved the bridge camera action shots.
Thanks so much, it was a pain getting the camera/tripod to stay put but I'm glad I took the time to set it up
Nice brown tanks, that angle from the bridge was rad!
Thanks yeah the bridge stuff was cool.
You fish some beautiful water. Tight lines and cold water forever!
Thanks so much
Nice job Jon! Good video. Tightlines
Thanks so much I appreciate it !
Great content! Subscribed
Thanks so much!!
You're right across the street from my house:). Lots of stocked brookies this year. Can't say I've even caught a stocked brown yet this year.
Yes a lot of stocked brookies. My guess is they had extra for some reason as they werent on the stocking list.
My local water is a chocolate milkshake(so. Colorado)...fun to see somebody out
Glad I could provide some clear water for ya!
Ditto in northern AZ 😩
I “grew up” in Madison County fishing that creek. I’m in Rensselaer County now and don’t get out there too often. One of these days…
Very cool!
I work in Madison county, been there a few times mostly browns. Looks a little high 😊
Yeah the water levels were a tad high but I found it to be very perfect
Are the tbmpoy quickdry pants in the description the ones you're wearing in all your videos?
Yes I wear them quite a bit

Doesn't sound like my kind of place
Beautiful videos. Is that creek catch and release at thst area?
I think there is a catch and release section below where I was fishing but when they have done surveys I don't think they found any significant difference in numbers.
