- THIS COAST OF SURIGAO IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! TRULY A HIDDEN PARADISE IN THE PHILIPPINES!
After a night out at a Franco concert, I find myself waking up in Surigao City and ready to keep heading south. This time, I take a coastal road down Surigao away from the main highway. Passing through the little towns, I soon find out how beautiful this area is. The coast is full of turquoise pebbly beach ocean... it is amazing! After driving up and over from the coast, I find myself in the town of Jabonga that sits along the fourth largest lake in the Philippines... Lake Mainit. Here I try some delicious food, including my first ever eel adobo. I really love the restaurant setup they have here by the lake.. it is like a hidden paradise!
Another beautiful area of Mindanao...
POWER ON!

There is something about province towns in the Philippines.. it just feels home with lots of personality.. miss going to these areas
Really appreciate the homely vibes
❤❤❤Kyle you would be the first vlogger who became a Filipino citizen, again congratulations. But you would also be the first who has traveled the most provinces in my native country.😻😻😻👏👏👏I stand corrected just in case there’s someone else who has!!
What at amazing adventure Kulas, spreading smiles and good vibes among the residents and more importantly endorsing and inviting everybody to visit the Philippines. Mabuhay ka!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
❤❤❤I would also add that Kulas is also confident to travel alone and feeling at ease conversing with the locals and speaking in random Bisaya depending where he is at the time, loved it❤❤❤.
Man, you just bring a lot of memories when doing all these trips. This particular vlog just feels so noltaglc, this route from the San Francisco shore down to Malimono, to Jabonga to Butuan. Harold was one of the Youth Leader in that town. Man! Thank you
I like how you feature local which also enthrills me to explore these pop up places. Your ability to connect and interact with local people never fails to amaze me.

Binignit (or halo halo) as long as it does not come from a fastfood outlet, will depend on what ingredients are available on-hand or in the market. Lamia oy!!
Omg, Kulas, your tagalog and bisaya has improved so much!! Love it!❤❤ thanks for the very beautiful tour!
The texture of your eel reminded me of the texture of scallops. And the pijangga (sorry about the spelling) chicharron is like having a side of potato chips but probably healthier. You were really enjoying them so much that I hope they made it home to Cateel for the barkada to enjoy, too.😂
This place is quite amazing hope the ones who don't know this must come and visit friendly locals amping kulas

Your video just served its purpose: we decided to travel from Siargao island to Camiquin Island not by plane but by the ferry to Surigao City and later by land to Balingoan port and take a ferry to Camiquin fro where. Even booked Surigao Dream resort (the one with Finnish Owner) for 3 nights. Hope to rent a scooter and explore that beauty arround:) Thanx so much for inspiration and greetings from Lithuania (North Europe).
Cool!! Enjoy your trip!
More coastal view from here on, kulas, thanks it makes my day today
Hello Kulas, now your on the road again, that place is stunning...
Thank you for posting quite regularly, almost an antidote to all the horrifying news in the world.
Youre the best kulas
21:36 "Panaw" originally meant "to travel", "to undertake a voyage" in both Visayan and Tagalog languages. It became a euphemism for dying in Tagalog, in the sense of "they passed away". And over time, the euphemistic meaning became the primary one.
I am wd u in this adventure😊. Thanks.
Finally you arrived in Mindanao Kulas safe. I wonder how many ferries you rode all throughout your journey?
only four. All good :)

Kulas -- I wish you would take the long way home and drive by my birthplace, Medina. December 30, 1963. If you didn't, that's okay too. It's just nice to see Mindanao.
Shout out kulas watching from London
I was there in Jabonga church convent before that pijanga and eel(import) are popular in that place. Your seaside vlogg looks beautiful and refreshing.

Laag ta puhon sa mapasu hotspring kulas.
Did you saw a lilo (whirlpool) in Liloan? Surigao is known for whirlpools as it is in the mouth between the Pacific and Bohol Sea and when the tides surge, currents are strong enough to swirl the sea :)

Oh! It's pronounced as HABONGA. There was a song in the 90's that goes "Jabonga, jabonga mula gabi hanggang umaga." Jabonga referred to sex.

Surigaonon can speak Cebuano/bisaya too. thats why we can easily communicate with them.
