- Javed Iqbal is renowned violinist of Pakistan. Working at the Radio Pakistan since 1984, and a career spanning over four decades, he has recorded with celebrated artists such as Nayyara Noor, Tina Sani, Iqbal Bano, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Fareeda Khanum, Atif Aslam, and Ali Zafar amongst countless others.He was part of the Coke Studio family from Season 2
He won the prestigious Civil award of Pakistan ''Pride of Performance'' for his outstanding services in the field of music. He belongs to artist family, his father was used to sing in ''Mahraja Patiala Darbar''. Javaid's love affair with the violin began at a very early age. As a toddler, Iqbal would sit by the radio listening to classical music eagerly waiting for a violin solo. By the time he was seven he had made up his mind to learn how to play the instrument, and when he turned nine Iqbal's father brought home a baby violin.
Learning how to play the violin was a challenge for Iqbal. He spent a decade practicing at least five hours a day. The grueling regimen produced results and Iqbal started his career as a professional musician playing the violin for film songs.
