Girl group music was also bad in 2022 only few like Aespa and (G)i-dle made good music then. The music overall in 2022 was horrible. Truely one of the worst years of kpop if we thing about music only and not scandals. Since 2019 was the worst year in kpop with all the scandals with Burning Sun and all that.

I actually don’t think Babymonster will be Ive/Aespa/idle/sserafim/Newjeans level of popularity or success. I believe they’ll do better than Nmixx or Le sserafim, but not as good as new jeans. I also believe they SM new gg will have similar success as babymonster, and that’s assuming that SM new gg debuts this year. However I do think they’ll be very successful. I do believe all the groups I just mentioned will be the top ggs this year. With Ive and Newjeans heading the pack. I also have a feeling that Stayc will have a Tomboy/Next Level/Love Dive song that will bring them a lot of fans and popularity. I also think they’ll capitalize on it, and have a couple members really boom in popularity like Yoon, Seeun, and Isa. In regards to Ive I have a feeling that Liz will get very popular maybe through a meme or an ost or a sudden weight loss, but I just think that she’ll really boom this year and give Wonyoung and Yujin a run for their money. Which will just make Ive even bigger. And my last opinion is that ‘03 and ‘04 line gg visuals will continue to dominate like Ive Yujin/Wonyoung/Liz, Le serrafim Kazuha, Itzy Yuna, Nmixx Sullyoon, Newjeans Minji/Hanni, and Stayc Seeun/Yoon/J with a sprinkle of winter and karina.
These 4th gen GG are crazy no doubt, their music has been 🔥🔥 And BP don't need to prove anything, along with other 3rd gen monsters like Twice,Red velvet Mamamoo etc, all their legacies are set, and they're just building fanbases internationally.

They're performing at several of the biggest music festivals in the world later this year, Jennie is starring in hbo's/the weeknd's drama "the idol," blackpink have been more active as a group than ever, and I can only see their career going up from here.
