I noticed wind reduction doesn't do anything on this device besides muffle the audio when using the internal microphone because there is a slight design flaw there is a pinhole microphone in between two circulator buttons on top which directs the wind right into the microphone at least this was a hunch I had given I have a little knowledge of physics so I set up another camera I have in slow motion and blew vape smoke through a straw directly at one of those buttons and sure enough it directed the wind right into the microphone if those buttons were square it would direct the wind away from the microphone better so that's something to keep in mind if you are thinking about purchasing this camera
@@Cycling-n-Stuff better use an external mic
@@KeigoMoriyama I did some testing and found a pretty good hack I had these small round adhesive velcro fasteners so I took the soft side and cut a strip and used it as a bridge in between the buttons and it worked out great at redirecting wind it created a considerably noticeable difference than before
@@Cycling-n-Stuff that is a good one! Nice finding
just checked the Amazon, for the battery chargers for very this model, it costs $19.99 and having two charging slots, which is not bad
that is definitely good
You forgot to add that you get 2 extra batteries with that charger so it's well worth the money. I just ordered one myself and very happy with it.

Do you have a link to this?
I thought you did a great video. I tried to explain it so it didn’t sound like I was coming at you lol. Thank goodness it didn’t come off that way 😊. I felt you on the go I g out of breath from running to and fro lol. Great job, my friend!
Thanks appreciate taking time to write the message
@@KeigoMoriyama yes, sir. I always give credit to good videos. Since I stopped making vids a while back and closed the old account completely, I just go watch other’s and see buoy the content. Thanks for helping the community out 😊
@@jamicrawford6729 my pleasure! Your comments really motivated me
@@KeigoMoriyama mine as always, my friend
its a great little camera, though I noticed today a rather odd thing regarding the image stabilization option. I did attached the device on to my car windscreen, and turned on the upside-down mode, but it looks like with this mode/option on the image stabilization is not working, actually you cannot fing it in the menu, but after turning the upside-down mode off, it comes back...weird!!! Any idea why is that??? I think the IS mode is necessary also with attached to the car windscreen, softening the car shakes due road various quality
That is interesting. It may be just a fw issue. I suggest to inform them about the issue
nice jumps!
It feels the resolution is not changed from the previous cameras. It feels like they need to put 4K on the camera or they cannot sell it (kind of know why) but instead if they could at least have a really nice done 1080p I may think to buy that.
Thanks for feedback. Yes I feel still 4K lack of quality while luckily 2.7k is usable
Is it possible to turn off the date and time at the top of the camera?
Yes there is an option in the menu
Did you use your external mic with the WOLFANG GA420? If so, which one?
I used the 7artisans dmic-s but not connected with the ga420
Which memory card should I choose for my camera? The manufacturer does not provide much information about this on the website...
Go with a standard and branded one. A lot depends how much you have to shoot. I always go with a 32gb sandisks
Micro SDHC 128g Max
2m 10s in I could see this was a video review where someone from the go-pro community was never going to have a great deal of positive to say about any lower-priced action camera so I switched off.
Because of the micro usb thing? I don’t understand your comment
@@KeigoMoriyamahe’s saying that everyone from the GoPro and DJI communities (those that use those type actions cams) have never had anything good to say about budget action cams. I’ve have the go pro 10 and 11 and both sit in my gear room more than they get used due to issues with the camera that no one likes to talk about, but I am seeing more people leaving the GoPro community due to these issues and losing footage and the cameras getting hot or shutting down. I’ve seen about 45 UA-cam channels in the past two months addressing these issues that started with hero 8. I use my Akaso and Wolfang more than any other I have. I’ll take a little lower quality to save my footage that is sometimes once in a lifetime vs losing it due to black outs and freezes with the GoPro
thanks for the explanation. If he watched till the end could see my honest feedback. I like the audio and I think 2.7k is absolutely acceptable resolution. Not on the stabilization side. People should watch till the end before throw comments
@jamicrawford6729 I'm trying to figure out which budget option to buy, but all the videos seem pretty obviously sponsored.
If I just want it for fishing, my tiny insta account, personal stuff basically, is one of the lower level wolfang or akaso models sufficient?
Im not planning to do biking or anything that'll really jolt the camera too much, but I really want a camera thats easy to use, waterproof without the case (just in case), and easy to get the video off.
Any suggestions? Or for a reviewer who seems like theyre not being paid by gopro/akaso? 😅
@@BeckySI’ve been using the Akaso for a couple years with no issue. I got the Brave 7 several months ago, and I have had no issue with it yet. I don’t do UA-cam video but several people use it to do theirs with. I like mine
When you connect the external microphone does it totally shut off the internal one? or does it still record on the internal mic?
Use only the external one
Can you plug it into a battery pack like you'd buy for phones?
Yes you can
@@KeigoMoriyamaGood to hear. I mean while its recording to extend its usage in filming?
@@PapaScho yes that is why they sold also the monopod with battery inside
thank you for the video. The information helped me to decide. I ll buy it.
Thanks to you for watching
do it works without battery, but with power bank by USB?
Not sure. But even if using power bank you can keep the battery inside. Sorry I don’t have the camera anymore so cannot do the test for you
@@mamamuminka12345 yes you can remove the battery and plug it in without the battery inside of it and use it
Which memory card i should use if i record with 2.7K, image stab and perhaps sound on when biking for around 4hrs?
@@isportireport go with branded one like sandisk A1 or A3 class 10
@@KeigoMoriyama how much spsce 32gb or much more?
@@isportireport I would go for 128
Pretty much any u3 sd card
I don't think the stabilization is very good, which is very important for an action camera. You get what you pay for.
@@eddyg1794 compared with GoPro or DJI absolutely agree. In my opinion the best in the low price is the xtu
I think the stabilization works pretty good for the price range. For me personally as a viewer I don't mind a little movement but obviously watching anything with to much movement is hard to watch
yes agree there is a certain level of acceptance for this type of camera to keep in mind
@@KeigoMoriyama I was surprised at how well the stabilization works on the ga420 in comparison to the ga100. I think now they have a ga460 that is supposed to be more of a flagship device. On my channel my previous 7-8 videos were filmed on the ga100 my latest video was filmed with the ga420 which leads to my only complaint it has the wind noise reduction but it doesn't seem to do much I did a few test videos and I couldn't notice the difference either way
I feel at the end you pay more for better results. From an audio perspective I have learnt that better to use external one even with the most famous brands
