at 2:33 I loved this part of the music where it transitions, this part of the music was a big part of what made the ending fight soo epic, the Turtles stood no chance against The Shredder.
The turtles were outgunned by the rival to splinters master. So sensei had to save his kids. Mad respect for splinter ending the lesson with urokosaki "Death comes for us all urokosaki but something much worse comes for you! For when you die it will be....without honor" Even giving wisdom to his mortal enemy, splinter was a true teacher. Always.
This is fantastic battle music and would get me so pumped up. Every time outside playing make believe with a hopeless battle with heroes against an over Powered enemy it would make it so much better. This music should be revisited again in the supposed Last Ronin film, imagine it plays during the final battle like a crazy call back.

I still remember my first time seeing the scene where The Shredder enters the chamber with a long shadow in front of him... I was 2 or 3 years old, and it was my first live action VHS. John Du Prez nailed the original score parts.
I had the privilege of seeing this movie in theaters with my older brothers and sisters (there were five of us and we didn't always hang out together, my closest sister is 8 years older than me and my oldest brother is 14 years older than me, long story) and we were all blown away by this movie. I remember walking at the mall to pick up tickets and sitting down with popcorn and junior mints and cherry coke (which wasn't common place then) and being transfixed by this movie from start to finish. As a chronic movie talker from a family of movie talkers, all my siblings were amazed that I didn't say a peep the entire movie. Even my oldest sister, who wasn't into this type of thing at all (she was 16 when it came out) thought the movie was amazing and actually bought a TMNT movie poster for me and had it framed (I still have it in my guest bedroom). We all agreed we had to take our parents to see it and it was the first movie I saw in theaters multiple times as my siblings convinced my parents they needed to go see it and so the three of us went again a week later. The one who fell in love with the movie was my dad, and he still has the collectors edition on Blu-Ray today. It was very touching watching him watch this movie with my nieces and nephews (my siblings have 11 kids in total) and pass it down and watching them fall in love with the movie for the first time.

It's like a combo of Friday the 13th, Halloween and then crossed with some dark 80's metal and synthesizers! Shredder is still so pissed he got scratched by Splinter!!!
I haven't heard this since the 90's. Literally been doing a workout to the soundtrack and when this kicked in I started getting teary eyed! Not afraid to admit it either! Took me back to a simpler time, but also reminded me of some difficult stuff my family was going through back then. I need to get this movie again!

At 2:36 every time I hear that part it makes me wanna watch the movie again for 2 scenes specifically when Casey came to help the turtles fight the foot soldiers and when the Turtles fought Shredder on the roof
John DuPrez fucking nailed it with this one. I was 9 when I bought the vinyl album, 42 now and it still straightens the hairs on my neck when I listen to it. Superb
I love the crazy drums near the end. It sounds like three different drummers adding extra cymbals and the timing of all the fills are so strangely timed but feel disturbingly good when you really pay attention. And their sound… mmmwah! 🧑🍳 I’m going to play this someday. And then you all pay! Wait, I mean, you’ll all see… err, I mean listen. And THEN pay!
God it feels good listening to this again at 38 years old.
