Angela, you are my inspiration!! Not to mention, you have a great sense of humor!!! I just purchased a sit down long arm and teaching myself (along with a lot of help from you!😉) fmq! I make a ton of lap quilts and donate them to the veterans so I’m getting lots of practice fmq! Today, I did my best yet....tear drops and all the while, I hear you saying “don’t worry about mistakes, a finished quilt is better than an unfinished one!” Not sure how to attach a photo, but when I showed my mom, her jaw dropped!! That says a lot right there! (She knows nothing about quilting!) THANK YOU for ALL of your videos and help!!! I wouldn’t be able to afford to learn if I had to pay. 🤗🤗🤗

Beautiful quilt. My boyfriend was dancing to the music and acting like he wasn't interested. Then he said, "I want to see the quilt." Silly man, but he's finally coming around. Hugs to you & keep 'em coming!

You have a pleasant speaking voice, and you’re a natural teacher. My favorite part of this quilt is not having to place colors in a certain order to appreciate the weaving effect. New subscriber. 👋🏻

Angela... I have been meaning to tell you how much I love the music behind these videos. I love the sixties vibe they give off and they're so much fun and entertaining and it's like a party, you invited us to with wine and snacks. Actually would love to how you went about choosing that music. I used to watch TV while I was quilting but I changed to music ever since I started watching the Midnight Quilt Show. Keep up the good work!

Quilts could be beautiful with the right pattern and colors together. I think I'm liking some of the quilts I've seen so far, most of the quilted stuff I've seen is with Older people from work, the ones I've seen online, the throws and blankets are really nice. Will keep checking out some of the videos on quilting including some of the easy patterns till I'm fully ready to start.

I just started quilting about a month ago. I've done some small projects and now I feel ok to do some larger ones, so i bought this kit. I am working on it now. I love it. It's great practice on piecing and the colors are so pretty. This video really helped me with the quilting decision to do the straight lines! I'm a bit nervous to do free motion quilting on my machine so this quilting pattern is great! Thanks again, Angela! I hope mine turns out at lovely as yours!

Thank you so much for this video. I have had that jelly roll for several months and just didn't know what to do with it. My cousin is having surgery in early April and I wanted to make him a get well quilt. I hope I can get this one made in the next couple of weeks and send it to him. I'm not as quick as you, but I am super motivated to get this one done. Again, thank you!!!

Another great project - love the colors ! Great to include those new to the joy of quilting/ creating - welcome to you all. Angela is a great source of inspiration and her easy going manner is a great way to learn in a relaxed way. Watch a few or even all of the videos from Midnite Quilter and see if you aren't hooked or at least tempted to try one of the beautiful quilts. She gives options for easier quilting ( turn in early version ) or more challenging options once you get the hang of it. Either way she's inspired me to branch out of my comfort zone and try new things which have turned out beautifully. Keep these videos coming Angela !

Angela, thanks for the inspiration. I am working on it now. I used Stonehenge Stars and Stripes jelly for a July 4th theme....navy background...my machine does letters so I'm quilting the backing/batting together using the words for God Bless America. Then I'll quilt my sandwich with the stitch in the ditch you suggested. It's going to be absolutely gorgeous!

Love this quilt! I actually did a version of this a few months back, but at the time Craftsy only had it as a kit with a white background, and I wanted to do black. While I love my finished quilt, this method is totally easier than the one I made up myself!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your videos and mostly your quilts. This quilt is going to be in my next list. (I have so many next to do). I can't keep up. I am a newbie and with your help I have now made ten (10) quilts for family and friends. My husband loves your "rail-fence Pattern" and picked out some psychedelic (60's) materials. Also on a very fixed income and a new quilter so I don't have a big stash no. What I do is shop sales. Missouri Star Quilt Company has a sale every morning which makes those jelly-rolls very affordable. Also, sites like craftsy when they have their 50 to 60% off sale. I also have a local fabric store and I shop their sales as well. You don't have to use the fabric that they use in the tutorials. It's just suggestions. Happy quilting!

Take the strip of jelly roll and remove the salvage edge. Then sew your colored strip between two strips of your background fabric. After this is completed, cut each one as follows: (1) 2.5" strip,
then (1) 4.5" strip, and the last is (1) 6.5" strip. Do this with all your jelly rolls. You will have some left over, but this is OK. Then lay out your pattern as described in the colors of your choice. Good luck. Mine turned out fabulous.

Now a quilt to use one of those jelly rolls bought because I couldn't resist a Jenny Doan offer! It will be a bit more subdued than the great rainbow and black colors in yours but we'll see what blue through magenta batiks will look like. Originally a sewer of clothing, I'm a seam pressing nerd and like to set the seams first by laying the iron over the stitched fabric before pressing to the side. It seems to give a cleaner press.
