Which Variety of Cucumber Should I Plant in my Garden?

Cucumbers are a wonderful summer snack that taste so refreshing unless you get the wrong variety. There are cucumbers made for fresh eating and cucumbers that are made for pickling. Get the wrong variety and you may have a very bitter experience. Today I would like to share with you how to select the right variety of cucumber for what you want to use it for. I will also share with you my favorite varieties for cucumbers.

I used to grow National Pickling too, that's a prolific and reliable cucumber. For the life of me, I could not get Armenian cucumbers to germinate...I know that they like it a bit warmer, but still nothing. However, Poona Kheera is the only one that I will plant this year, as we are downsizing our garden. It is interesting and a prolific producer.
