Having been there in 2003 BIAP is a huuuge airport, Saddam had a zoo there as well as these water lakes and the fish omg were frickking huge. Iraq has the most beautiful sunsets you could ever imagine. Wow looking at this video brings back memories both bad and good. When the sun first comes up you feel this heatwave and when the sun goes down it's like a cool breeze suddenly come out of nowhere. The sand isn't really sand it's more akin to talcum powder. We had to constantly clean our M16's and eventually adapted a tshirt around it to help. The Dust storms could get really bad, bad enough to keep us in our tents or buildings. We first lived in a building that had a pool. I believe that Saddam had the waterpipes changed so that his lakes and fountains would work. The nearby farmers got shafted until the engineers figured out the lay. Of note was when Uday and his brother had been killed. There was so much shooting that initially we freaked the hell out until we got the word but because of the sheer amount of bullets going up in the air we had to get back in the buildings because of the risk of being hit by falling bullets. yes it was that many.
@@Nabu5 First U.S. did not take any oil from Iraq. Much to the contrary to popular belief not one tanker or oil truck went to the U.S. Now lets move on to the next subject. Iraqi lives. For seven years Iraq fought against Iran. Why is this significant? because it has been proven that not only did Iranians come to Iraq but people from other Islamic countries as well , why? Iranians told the uneducated Iraqi's that they should put their differences aside because the infidels were back in Islamic lands and the Iranians were they're fellow brothers in Islam. So the "uneducated" Iraqis actually believed this train of thought and were eager to strap on a bomb vest or get inside a vehicle laden with bombs and go blow themselves up trying to kill coalition soldiers. Let that sink in for a moment, your enemy for 7 years comes over and tells you to put your hatred away for them and to martyr yourself for Allah. While the Iranian still lived and Iraqi died and if the Iraqi took out a market he has actually killed Iraqi women and children because an Iranian told him to do it. 5000 U.S. troops, The coalition suffered greater losses %han 5k . Now how do i know so much more than what I'm putting here? because I was a soldier in Iraq during the year of 2003. Every single day I left Saddam international Airport to do missions all across all of Iraq. I was shocked when I was told that I was in Babylon. I said Babylon as in the one mentioned in the Bible? yes I was told. Now just so you know I volunteered to join the U.S. Army. I was not forced to nor was I called up in a draft and that goes for the other U.S. military members that went to support your people. I myself was injured and am now rated at %100 disabled. I know the value of freedom and cherish it every day. The Iraqis people did not know freedom especially the females raped by Uday and Qusay. Or the families killed by them because the daughters refusals. Why don't you hit on that topic? Or about the torturing of the people. Torture? Yes , for 35 days we were forced to sleep in a torture room. On the wall was a picture of the human body and the central nervous system. just a few inches over a 240 electricity breakout panel was installed to shock people. AND if you looked up at the ceiling you would see a hook and a burnt circle almost 6 feet in diameter. what was that? Well they would suspend those to be tortured bound by their hands and feet. An open fire source would be put directly under the persons stomach "where the most fat is" and they would let the person literally burn to death. I don't hear you complaining about that. Trust me when I tell you I know a whole lot more than you do when it comes to Iraq at least during those years. Now to answer your last question, was it worth it. The maimings, the deaths, our military that went missing and later tortured to death. The coalition deaths and missing. You will have to ask that question to the people of Iraq. Are they able to make more than $20 a month now, can they afford to take their child to the hospital? Can they purchase a tv or like many homes a satellite dish oh yes I know. Are the markets full of fresh fruits and vegetables? Are people allowed to fly kites now? i hope the answer is yes. Did the fellow Iraqis who initially fled Iraq only to come back when Iraq needed them most only to die later. The doctors, the talented Iraqis who knew they put their lives in jeopardy because they knew Iraq needed people to step forward and say, I am not afraid to die because Iraq is my country and they need to see positive movement forward somehow, some way. Iraq could become quite a beautiful place if they stopped putting trash out on the streets or burning everything in piles. When the Iraqi soccer team almost made it to the finals it was us fellow Americans cheering them on because we wanted them to succeed and to show the entire world that there is so much more to Iraq than death. To close this up, we also killed or captured many terrorists that Saddam had given sanctuary to, such as the mastermind behind the Achille laurel ship. I would hope that it was worth it. Blueraven

@@blueraven758 was the oil of my country worth the loss of 100,000 Iraqi lives and those 5000 US troops who got killed there?
