- Hey guys,
here is another fun monster to hunt with the heavy bow. Got the idea from a fellow hunter - [J] - and it works like a charm :D
Main difficulty really is getting Seltas out of the way.

You know Seltas is annoying when even speedrunners kill him first.

@@gavinscarborough4207 If you manage an early way to flinch-lock seltas queen and have used a smoke bomb beforehand, it is possible to skip killing seltas first. It does work, but can get a bit annoying to get a decent enough spawn and making sure seltas doesn’t notice you.

Thanks Kiko, yeah after he had suggested doing a run against seltas queen last time i joined you guys it got me thinking if it could work for a solo attempt too. I tried the dungbomb, but lol seltas wasn't phased :'D

I’ve recently been checking out your content and I’m impressed! I have one question: How do you perform the idle charging on GS Valor in your Tigerex video? I’m having trouble getting into an idle charge quickly after sheathing my weapon(there’s a delay before I can start the charge). Thanks!
Milk hey, so just press x+a together while in an idle position. it will probably take some practice getting used to doing it in succession quickly - that was the main thing i had to practice for the tigrex run. finding the sweet spot the moment you sheath your weapon to unleash another draw attack. but i’m sure you’ll get it with some time experimenting 😁👍
Hey, I'm getting into bow. I Heavy Shot really as bad as people say it is? I can see you're doing this really fast but that won't be the same for someone like me who doesn't exactly know all the monsters yet. I really want to try heavy because it looks really satisfying but a lot of people say that i'd just be better off using Rapid.
Rocky117 heavy used to be bad before mhgu, but now at least with valor style it can be very strong. reason being the typical bow to use for it - the one i have here - has very high raw damage. heavy arrows also have some sort of increased chance for part breaks adding a quicker build up for monsters to get staggered or flinch. only thing that makes this bow bad really is its arc shot. you will need that to fill up your brave gauge and it’s not so convenient, especially when hunting with others online since they could get sent flying. if you are getting into bow i would definitely recommend though trying heavy out too 🙂👍

Any tips for speed running for beginners?
rice farmer epic gamer hmm.. i would say best to start out with a monster that isn’t too difficult. nargacuga i would consider a good start. his attacks are all pretty fast which can help learn to dodge them in time and the main area you will always want to try and attack is the head so it’s pretty straight forward. works with quite a lot of weapons too 😁

I got my first attack+4 Juwel in iceborne. Jeez that took me a long time
I quit because I couldn't find one haha after 2.6k hours I'm over it and went back to GU to have fun.

Any high rank bow set recommendations? Getting into a bow but idk which set is good for a bow.
Bhokai Larbpaiboonpong hmm i remember back in mhgen i used teostra’s bow with the following build-> normal up, focus, true shot up, load up and ammo saver or bombardier. there very well might be better sets though now for high rank in mhgu already. nerscyllas bow is definitely very good probably already at an earlier stage. if you can get that with critical boost, normal up, true shot up and perhaps another skill it would already make for an extremely powerful bow 😁

Gonna be completely honest, Old gen Bow has the worst controls ever, mad respect for getting it to work
