I've seen several comments on your videos asking to analyse the games from black's perspective. Not to be disrespectful, but you've got to listen to your viewers for your channel to grow large
If I recall correctly, Qb7 was prepared by Spassky’s team in case Fischer played a Queen Pawn’s Opening (Fischer transposed into the QG after 1. c4), but Spassky forgot about Qb7 at the board.
My understanding is that Spassky knew of the move Qb7 in his game against Fischer but either forgot or saw ghosts at the board; in any case, it was not played and a real gem by Fischer was the result (Game 6 of their match, if memory serves).

I think Bertok had the ight idea but the wrong way to implement. He could have played 16.Rfd1 rather than Ne1. This way he does not lose tempi getting a rook to d2 to protect b2. Once he played Ne1 and Rb8 black just got free moves and took over the position.

if you want to show the best queen gambit, analyze an engine game for us plz. much more complicated and correct than games played by gm's 30-50 years ago

It’s just a convention to show games with White at the bottom of the screen. If you always change it for the winner it is also a spoiler.
@@PowerPlayChess good point

@Ricky Erick switching accounts possibly?
Don't you worry, Daniel, you can show us all the games. We have a lot of time on our hands!
I love Daniel's English accent - and I'm English.
I believe it's called, "The Queen's Gambit English". ;)
What accent?

Wow what a legend you are

Yes, that was Game 6 at the end, with the brilliant 20. e4 threatening to detonate Black's pawn centre
Great game, making me consider picking up the Queen's gambit
Just show us as many games as possible Daniel, I will watch all, thank you for the great series :)

I have seen almost all analysis of Fishcer by Daniel. I have even watched fishcer faces berlin defence.
Loving this QGD series
I have been going through Alekhine Bogoljubov where they played some complicated Cambridge Springs variations. Very interesting
When I used to play serious chess, 8 c4xd5 was always the main line. It is interesting to learn that it has been toppled
Thanks. You will cover the a6 - b5 - c5 for black too right.
Winants-Kasparov 1987 was another great one!
Or what about Schussler - King 1990? :)
Yes, I enjoyed that game!
A fantastic strategic game. A nice pick up of the day. Is your Queen’s gambit DVD compatible with Mac?
I don’t believe the QGD DVD is available for macs. Later DVDs are, though.
2.5 tournament lead is impressive but having an IM just vaporised that
Are you aware there were less GMs at the time? There were less than 70 ever given the title when this game was played.
@@TauxWau I mean it wasnt a super tournament
Be great if you could do a commentary on the timman vs geller game from 1973. If not chessexplained has a great overview.

Daniel, do you do one-on-one chess coaching?
I do, but right at the moment I am too busy to take on any more students.
John Wick❤
I would consider supporting this channel, but the annoying ads always convince me not to do it.

... but less instructive, and no historical significance. By the way, Fischer’s play was ‘correct’ as you put it.
Engine games are very boring and is less instructive
Why would you show us this game with white at the bottom of the screen? Its like a different language
It's the normal way to show chess games. Look at almost any chess book for evidence.
@@fundhund62 is this a channel exclusively for people who have read multiple chess books?
I don't play black looking at the board opposite side.
@@richiejbhoy1888 Doing so has historical significance. Its a holdover from the days of white supremacy 😉
how to play the queen's gambit: d4 d5 c4, heehehe bet you're feeling silly now chess man
This changes everything
