Hey dudes, nonchalant drummer here! First off thank you so much for doing a reaction, glad you enjoyed the track! Second, to answer your question both myself and our bass player do some main and backing vocals live to make certain layers/transitions possible. Once again, thanks for giving us a listen! 🤘🤙
Man you're an excellent drummer I just recently found your band. Needless to say I went to Spotify and downloaded everything I could find. Love it you're a great singer too man let down was insane. I hope one day you guys come to eastern Canada. It would literally be a dream come true. Keep up the great work.
Honestly..we bands are happy when the drummer just shows up period. My band moved 3/4 across the US and im glad to find a band like this is where we've moved.
I've seen other film clips of The Anchor where the "nonchalant" drummer does the clean vocals. That's probably their live option. Although metalcore drummer singing while doing those complex patterns and fills just blows my tiny mind.
I hav seen these guys live and Lindzey and the boys slay live. Been going to their shows for ten years and it has been amazing to see the progression. Now she sings the chorus clean when necessary. and if there is a growl overlay, the boys will sing it. Little different sound in that aspect but same feels. They are the nicest people in the world as well.
i seen them live in newcastle, to answer the layered vocals question she does the cleans only for the chorus with no harsh vocal layers whatsoever, doesn't take anything from her range at all, she can pull all that off live which is impressive in itself, the drummer does vocals in some of their songs like let down which if you haven't checked out is another banger by them
So happy to see this band get the credit they deserve. They are live Vids online to see how Linzey works it all out vocally Nath. Hope you both check out The Anchor back catalogue too. You won't be disappointed.
Pop Toot! The Anchor hit the mark on so many levels! I do see what you say about the prop with the layered vocals live, but the chorus sounds perfect as it is!!! Singer definately has a set of pipes thats for sure!
Agree with Nathan on the layered vocal and live performances. Saw Def Leppard for their Hysteria anniversary tour. They still rock! Motley Crüe. Doubt I’ll see again as I saw them on their “farewell tour” already.
Many bands now do that type of vocals. Even a band like Trivium go the other way and use their guitarist for heavy vocals that is not present in many of their clips, makes you think oh this is not the same. But then on the other hand some bands use pre-recorded vocals even BMTH at Soundwave many years back now (Sad times) used pre-recorded vocals
It doesn't bother me in the slightest to layer tracks. Bands don't owe you doing every bit of their music live. As long as it's her voice and she's doing the base layer, all they're doing is adding texture and range to the song.

Sounds like u guys got heavier since Cory & the other guy switched.

Happy to see them finally get some recognition. Linzey is such a talent. I hope they can continue to grow and translate all this to their live shows.
She does the heavies live my dudes
Saw these guys live a few years ago. They were great & Linzey is cute af.

Her tone was insane! It's been a hot minute since I've listened to a female fronted vocalist and I thoroughly enjoyed that :D

Their drummer usually does some of their clean vocals so that’s most likely how it would be layered live
Great track. Thanx for introducing this band.
This is def being added to my gym playlist🔥🔥🔥🖤

I tend to refer to farting as ripping ass, barking spiders, a fire in the hole,
Hahahaha fire in the hole hahahaha
yes i never clicked on a video so fast this band is soo underrated in my opinion glad you reacted to this
Whenever my buddies fart we say there must be barking spiders near
I’ve never heard “blasted ass” but now it’s my favorite
You’re welcome
"Internal digestive methane storage propulsion"
video was great. Common colloquialisms for farts(at least in my family) barking spiders, stepped on a toad, natty backfire
“Who stepped on a duck?” is an absurdly funny one
I've been wondering when you two would have checked out this song, such an amazing song.
you should really check out more of there music there incredible.
Their* They’re*
I’m happy you exist you beautiful people
PS I call farts “a new rip in the pant/couch” 🤷♂️
She does do amazing covers
Good reaction I can’t wait for more interviews I enjoy them.
Seen this band live, Linzey is a beast
Pop Toot!

I’m sorry Nath but I’m 43 seconds in and that was a great intro 🤣🤣🤣
I am dying from that intro 😂
I call them Ghost of shits future
Been waiting for this!
I do on occasion refer to the act of pooping as dropping anchor, ironic for this video

Drummer does cleans in other songs, maybe that's the solution for there live rendition of this?
A few cards short of a full deck
Boy oh boy Johnny was reaching with that intro and it being so bad is why we love you
Linzey Rae for president 2024
