Doing it in a white shirt AND her wedding ring! next time though, it would be nice to see her with some eye protection and maybe a towel on the seat to keep away any oil from transferring from her shirt onto the seat's alcantera or leather, she's definitely a keeper Casey!

Took my Roadrunner for its first drive in about 20yrs. Ran pretty good even though only the fuel gauge and amp gauge work and the speedo reads in mph, not kmh which is unfortunate in Canada.

As long as it would take her from point A to point B, she didn't care less what it was. After 36 years of marriage, Cadillacs, a Nissan 300ZX, Lotus Turbo Esprit, Porsche 911 Carrera SC and several BMW's and now a 911 Carrera Cabriolet. She has finally come around to loving my car. !! NOW,!! She want's to go driving all the time in the cabriolet. Life is good and still happily married!! BTW, her Marine Col Dad taught her to fix or repair anything automotive~~ Military vehicles too~~ Now to buy some Military vehicles.. This could be very interesting.. I'm loving it!

The crankcase ventilation is hooked to the intake via vacuum line which is why the crankcase is under negative pressure. All the crankcase gasses goes back into the intake for "emmisions"
This is awesome getting the wife involved with her own car. And, I really hate to be the safety police, but c'mon Casey, you're a car guy.... get some glasses on your faces!! I say this from the experience of doing this very thing when I was younger and having to make a trip to the emergency room to have stuff plucked out of my eyeballs, and it is no fun whatsoever.

The negative pressure is because of the pcv. It creates a negative pressure inside the engine that closes the valve . Once it is closed further negative pressure is held by the valve. At least that’s how it is on my car. That’s while idling of course then it becomes positive. The negative pressure comes from after the throttle body and it sucks oil vapors that in my case can damage some plastic flaps that control the intake length/volume
If you have negative pressure like that at the oil filler, the pcv valve is stuck open or more likely the intake gasket is bad. Could be a future video. Ok what model is it ? GranTurismo S ?
Casey, What are your thoughts on using a hole saw and cutting a drain plug access hole in the belly pan to make draining far easier and to save wear and damage to the belly pan and fasteners?
It is the never a bad idea. The more you teach her, the more confident she gets, and she is likely to be able to fix things. So she doesn’t get stranded. You and her fell safer.

Casey. I enjoy all your videos. On a more technical note, you mentioned in your video that you had negitive crankcase pressure in the engine. That doesnt sound normal i had a similar experience with my 2011 BMW V8. I installed new crankcase ventilation hoses and both were defective. I had so much vacuum in the crankcase it was sucking air in through the rear main seal. Im suggesting that you research this issue on your wife's car to see if it is normal and to replace the necessary parts if the vacuum in the engine is not normal. If you send me the details on the engine, id be happy to research it for you.
Hint - put a flattened cardboard box down for comfort. Best with a shiny label so you can slide out easy. Driving up on ramps makes it easier. My cars don't have those dang plastic bottom shields.
Cut/modify an old, small funnel just enough to push fit onto the rubber nipple of the shroud that surrounds the oil filter. Push fit a hose, 9 to10 inches long onto the end of your newly modified "funnel nipple thingy." I usually run the hose into an empty Adams Car Shampoo bottle. About 1/3 of the bottle will fill up once you slowly twist off the oil filter. Never get oil on the cross member again!
Changing the oil on our 2005 Mercedes E320CDI wouldn’t be as fun because it’s all done from the top! Extract through the dipstick, then pull the oil filter, also from the top!
Ya know......... Taylor didnt do half bad! In fact it was CASEY who mentioned Nail damage. Kudos Taylor! A few tips though, A sheet of cardboard make the sliding in and out easier and cleaner. Turn your Rings 180 degrees to keep em from being snagged or damaged. And if Casey gets too weird on Camera? Moan erotically and im fairly sure he will shush coz Demonetisation and strikes lol That aside im pretty sure you have triggered all those capable of being triggered which means ....... AWESOME VIDEO!
