Tempo de vals noble
Tempo de vals lento
Allegro humorístico

Such a beautiful sound throughout the virtuoso performance. Incidentally (and trivially), he looks like Sting in this photo ...
His high notes make me want to cry, just beautiful!
This is one damn hard piece, David Russell has both balls and skill that's almost too much for one man.
Oh my God that's beautiful music. How refreshing it is to the soul.
I have been playing this on piano for years and still love playing it. Alicia de Larrocha introduced me to Granados in her recordings. This is an inspired performance on guitar. David Russell has played this suite how I always hoped it would sound with the warmth and vibrato of the guitar unavailable to the piano. Thank you.
This is incredible. David Russell is the guy you wanna see.
Sounds like if Granados had a guitar on mis mind while a keyboard under his hands. Wonderful!
Amazing! So beautifully played and interpreted - a totally mesmerizing experience. Thank you for posting, and thank you for the Maestro for the inspiration!
Absolutely magnificent ! I still would have to put Bream's performance ahead of this, but we are talking about slight nuances of brilliance at this level.
By far the best version of this I've ever heard.
Really really beautiful playing. Absolutely masterful.
By far the best guitar arrangement of this I've ever heard.
Exquisite transcription by Mr. Russell! Granados ear had the guitar in mind for many of his piano works. Kudos for Mr. Russell!
Wow. Such a great transcription and performance.
Truly excellent. Also listen to Kupinski Duo version ... and their other UA-cam offerings

This is beautiful. Check out also for Rémi Boucher's version (here on youtube, but better on his cd), which is no doubt less accurate academically speaking, but which is very passionate!
He must publish this transcription, cause there are so many that are not good enough.
Yes, Rémi's cd is amazing
Where is this transcription?! The bass lines are so much better in this than mine.
Magnificent
Muy buena interpretacion. Felicidades.
Exactly my thougts.
Amazing..
I know this is a recording and you can edit it as much as you want but D. Russell is an amazing musician. One of the very few guitarists who knows what he is doing.
I heard him play this live recently at Spivey Hall. I'm sure this was edited some, but to tell you the truth to me it sounded just as good live.
Yeah, I believe you. He gave a masterclass and a concert at the conservatory where I was studying back then and he really made me feel that I had a long way too go even though I was already a pretty good player. Going to see him in July in London and I am pretty excited. What I like about D. Russell is that he always comes up with new material.
Excelente, como de costumbre, David! ¿Cuándo podemos esperar su transcripción maravilloso en Quebec? Abrazo a usted y a María!
Does anyone know if this transcription by Mr. Russell has been published? Thanks!
Sadly never been published.
Nice!!!
Wonderful transcriptions, wonderfully played. Superb. (Do listen to the lovely performance of the original piano, by Alicia de Larrocha. Click below. Enjoy.
❤️❤️❤️
Yes I like Bream version as much as this and prefer the Romanillos. I'm not sure if this is on the Frederich or the Damman? Russell briefly played on another exceptional make I don't recall.
Perhaps a guitar made by John Gilbert?
This is his Damman I believe...
David Russel is in a Class of his owen
