- GX season 4 concludes Judai's (Jaden) high school journey. I might be able to do it justice in 40 minutes.

RIP Jun Manjoume
(October 6, 2004 - June 26, 2024)
Died so young...may him rest in peace...
Chazz it up! 😭
@@danknhshinki73 1,10,100,1000 MANJOUME THUNDER!!!!!
That's his Import voice actor that I believe passed away this year his ENGLISH DUB actor I believe is still alive despite that season 4 never got a English dub.
Rest in peace Taiki Matsuno voiced as Jun Manjome / Chazz Princeton in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.
CHAZZ IT UP!
The reason why GX Season 4 was somewhat rushed and shorter than expected is because Judai's voice actor, KEN's contract was about to expire; so they had to air the season in contrast to his departute. I really wished this season had 40-45 episodes rather than just 24. Because of this, I can't rate it above Season 3, but it is definitely a unique and exquisite arc among all the Yugioh series and deserves it's own special place due to how dark it is; it really makes and forces you to think. Despite its somewhat wasted potential, it's still a really good season that came about under challenging circumstances.
@@Prime_770 funnily enough, I think it could have used maybe 4 more episodes at most. There wasn’t a point in time where I thought the season was dragging on. The hard turn was Mr. T vs O’Brien where the childhood trauma just hits you out of nowhere. I would have added an extra episode there and possibly a couple more transitioning from the Fujiwara duel to the Darkness duel. It’s clunky, but season 4 is a fun ride.
@@Adamame93 I felt like it kinda deserved the longevity of season 3 but now I think about it, Season 4 to me is not a final season but rather an Epilogue. I just felt clunky due to the fact of main plot / somewhat slice of life episodes to be really abruptly and suddenly placed between one another. I guess 6-8 episodes would have helped. Your take is respectful.
Really? They couldn't have extend their contract with them? i also read recently how one of the reason why the original DM anime might be tricky to redo is cause the original VAs for Yugi and Kaiba are difficult to reach out to these days, completely different to Dan Green and Eric Stuant, who I'm assuming would love for the chance to represent their respective roles.
@@Adamame93 Honestly I didn't even realize how short GX was until I rewatch it awhile ago and was like "Oh shoot, this season really is that short"
Interesting i didn't know this, i did know that the production of 5D's was kicking into gear and they were looking to end GX at time to sync with the release of Synchro monsters. But i didn't know that the contract of KEN was ending. Very cool and interesting, having all of this in mind, maybe season 4 was destine to be short, reason to why it's so well pace.
I just realizes this season is almost like a sequel of waking the dragons
The 4th season of GX is my favorite season for how Judai, aka Jaden, changed as a character while also showing his improved skills as a duelist and how he regained his love of dueling after the trauma from the previous season. I also enjoyed the character development of the rest of Judai's friends this season. I especially love how the duel that fully restored Judai's love of dueling was him dueling Yugi Muto, and by extension, Atem in the past. It was a great way to end the series.
I wish they made a season 5. But anyways, to summarize GX I'll use a quote from my favorite movie, "Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them…cheer them…scream their names. And years later, they’ll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them to hold on a second longer. I believe there’s a hero in all of us…that keeps us honest…gives us strength…makes us noble…and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most - even our dreams." ~Aunt May Spiderman 2
When you do 5ds, make sure to do a segment after the dark signers arc about bounds beyond time. That movie is Canon.
From what I read online, its speclated that that movie takes place right before Yusei goes to Crash Town, so either include it in that season or in a separate video.
36:20 feels like an AMV edit. Awesome video🔥
One! Ten! Hundred! Thousand! Manjoume Thunder will always strike in our hearts! Thank you Taiki Matsuno!
this is my first time here, is "by increasing Neos attack points and wins the duel" a gag here cuz i realized that's how jaden always wins lmao
@@oak3785 lol no, just me cutting down my script when I edit drafts to get to the key part of duels. I bet if I were to look at each season’s word document, I may have written it a lot 😅
Appreciate you taking the time to make this. Like most people I missed out on what season 4 had to offer besides the final duel so it was really cool to see it all in an easy to digest video.
I really like how darkness eludes to the fact that the future will be a bleak and desolate wasteland and in the movie bonds beyond time, paradox also sees this future and how duel monsters was the core of it and tries to destroy the card game before it brings about this future
Thanks for this!
It would have been EXCELENT to have the 4th season here dubbed in English.
Surely with all the new AI it would be possible
Its funny. The universe starting from a single card may seem insane. But… then we get to Zexal and the Numeron code… and then the vision of the future looks a lot like the end of the bad future of 5ds
Its funny. The universe starting from a single card may seem insane. But… then we get to Zexal and the Numeron code… swear there was foreshadowing to 5ds as well from darkness forget what it was
I love gx and Jaden
🔥🔥🔥
I’ve hit the follow button to see if I can get closure of the last season of 5Ds that was never dubbed
@@Broncoboy2011 I apologize in advance: it will take a while to get there as a 1 man show with a full time job and a toddler at home 😅
Don't worry....4th time the charm
Axel vs trueman was dark
To see his mother burning is very traumatic .
@@nsasuke4447 Trueman making him relive having to choose which parent to save by having O’Brien (Axel) choose which monster he wants to keep on the field was not at all what I expected when I first saw this season.
Too bad this wasn't dubbed, on the other hand 4Kidz would have butchered it lol
The excuse that they wanted to get to 5Ds is weird like, what could of cause them to be so behind in their dubbing that they had to abandon ship with season 4 of GX? They didn't even dub the entire 5Ds anime either, they didn't dub the last few episodes in the series
@@Lucario1121normal people don't care about Dub, especially not Yugioh dubs where even the soundtracks are different, lol. Dub is just a parody..
👍
i wish the japanese va of manjoume didn't passed away its not fair still i love jaden in this season well all seasons to be precise
However as a ENGLISH DUB it NEVER got one for GX.
Top 10 strongest GX Duelists
1/2/3. - prime Hell Kaiser/Yubel/S4 Judai
4. Darkness
5. Fujiwara
6. Amon
7. O'Brian
8. Johan
9. Saiou
10. Trueman
Aster is younger than Chazz? I thought that was the other way around
Edo/Aster is younger than almost everyone except Rei/Blair. Chazz was just childish and prideful.
Could you also do a video for the gx mamga?
@@neo84401 I gotta binge it first lol. But I will 👊🏼
@@Adamame93 I recomended, I'm reading it now, and its a completely different story than the original anime. I think after the original DM manga, every other YGO series is completely different in the manga vs anime
It was too Judai-centered, many good side characters were ruined and wasted so that Judai can shine, not just Kaiser. This is normal in Yugioh animes, but in GX it was too much. Kaiser for example was ruined the most, in S3 he was nerfed and disrespected at the end so that Yubel can survive and fight Judai, and then in S4 he was completely ruined and abondoned. Most of Ygo rivals are done dirty by the end tho..
Did yugi quit cause they are making copies of bros decks like crazy
@@joemomma9903 think of it like the Pokemon tcg where the champion has a replica deck published after winning a tournament. It’s memorabilia more than anything. There isn’t a lot of clues about what Yugi is doing in GX when it aired. If we count Dark Side of Dimensions, he’s creating his own game.
This season has a very weird vibe, it’s dark and I love gx for its slow progression into seriousness
One of the worst Yugioh seasons, it was very very bad tbh..
really? sure, its underwhelming at points, but ties up everything perfectly, almost too fanservicey, later seasons fail at the end.
I wish the 4th would've had an English version.
