I'm super impressed at the fact that the pro managed to tailor the review of a pro v ama game for SDK/DDKs. He boils it down to big moves and important concepts but at the same time showing briefly the tricky sequences for Nick and the online audience. Thanks Nick for the content, hope you guys are staying safe!
Yeah, as much as I enjoyed this, I think it's not very safe. Being in a close group indoors is bad enough, but sharing go stones? Maybe in a few months if things go really well. I'd rather everyone just stay safe.
Hey nick, I finally reached 1 Dan and wanted to thank you because you played a big part in my personal achievement. Without your good content I think I would still be far away from this goal So thank you=)
Wow. This was a great lecture. Nice game, and a really good review by Mr Komatsu. He was able to explain everything very clearly. Being 15k myself I felt like I understood all of that. Kudos.
The pro didn't just crush them... He crumpled them into a deformed ball of sadness until he didn't need komi to win anymore. The despair sets in when I realize that there are several worlds between Daiki Komatsu and the top pros and between them and the top engines 😰
Seattle GO center must have good donations to be able to bring all these pros in every year. Was Mr. Komatsu in the USA on other business, or did you help fly him over from Japan? That's expensive.
no, he isn't. pros are x-p, not x-d, 'dan' is ranking for amateur players. to become a professional is extremely hard, which means years of hard training from a young age up.

This video was recorded several weeks earlier
Cool! He is the son of Hideki Komatsu 9p. I've met Daiki 3p several times and he's really nice :)

So thank you=)
I really enjoyed this, and I think the second translator really saved the lecture.
yeah definitely. A word for word translation would be preferable, otherwise half of it is basically being lost.
Hey nick! Great video :) thank the student that ended up translating for me please!

I enjoy the precision with which Daiki places his stones. All very centered on the crosses
Daiki Komatsu seems like such a nice person, I would love to play some games with him
I like these pro games and also the commentary from them on your gameplay
Thanks for the video, Nick. Great content as always!
15:02 I thought N 14 would be rather nice. It sets up a move at G9 so the potential cut white has results in a ladder that black will win.

Excellent!!!!
This pro seems like he got nice teaching skills too!
Too bad I don't understand enough Japanese

He got him at the 7/11, hes prolly trapped at the go center for the coronavirus.
Wow a nice smooth game yo
What proverb mentions Nick in 26:05?
He said: Never let them connect. But don't take it seriously :-)
When was this filmed? Not recently i hope. Stay safe.
A few weeks ago
Early march, it was the last one before everything shut down.
I swear I'm hearing Nicholas Cage voice in this video
Isolation?
It was filmed several weeks ago
Ok, didn't know that. Thanks.
Nick isn't a pro?!!?!
I think he's 5d?
