I don't know what Lux found but it has to do with some higher learning, either Sara Seti or Sa Neta, but it has taken him to whole new level.
Before that, I didn't feel that overly "new york" type swag in his bars,,, its still there but its TightWork now.
for example: the Lux vs Mook & the Lux vs Calicoe are not only two different battlers but also two different people. Word.

even though i understood alot of these lines during the battle it still is extrememly dope the way he put it em together and to hear his excitement and passion in breaking it down. its good to see an artist who is genuinely excited by their art and not just bragging because of who they are.

I would love to see the lyrics to the second verse that Lux didn't get a chance to spit. The bar is raised in the URL. Nobody is going to want to perform after that type of showing. Dude is a monster. Get that Beloved album yall....its hot.

The regular street style is coo but, the true skill is in how can you dive deeper into the bars in new ways. Now that, takes more skill.

Meaning One: Lux is saying If you read his Biography, look at his past performances and battles, you will see that he is very strong, he defeats his opponents with dominant performances, he "Kills" them

Seriously...if Lux sticks to God-flow in his songs and battles, he'll be remembered as one of the greatest lyricists of all time...he'll be able to take his place among the elites. Time will tell.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but decided & divided with the "D" emphasized is a reference to Detroit . If I'm not mistaken brothers from Detroit refer to it as the D for short. I think Calico even said he was from the D in his battle with Lux. If I remember correctly one of Lux's onstage entourage said that Calico had did something disrespectful to Lux during the battle & Calico said I don't care I'm from the "D".

this is why i respect real lyricists. this guy isnt ASAP rocky or trinidad james or future, or any other "rapper" who puts no thought into his rhymes. Lux is a real lyricists. and listenin to him break down his rhymes and then watchin the battle again, its just like woooooooooow. what a monster. nothin but respect when u stop and think of how much thought he put into each line

When this battle came out I had been watching all the other summer madness battles 2 that came out before it. And after watching the first few seconds of this one, I knew I had to really concentrate and think rather than the typical being an observer. Lux is the only battle rapper in the game that makes you have to be an intelligent listener.

Haha BeLove'D! Lux been puttin' in maintenence for many moons. As of this last event, he's acquired an entirely different faculty of supporters who are in the form of an embryo, in terms of their developed comprehension of this man's monumental achievements. The man is working to leave a blue print behind for us to "rewind, find, it's more to find". In my opinion, Lux is solidified in Black History.

well said. Brain is a muscle and people need to learn to exercise it. Not even just for the sake of knowledge its appreciating and understand what it takes to ACTUALLY be an emcee. the creativity, the thought, the overall delivery of what it takes to be an emcee.
Im from detroit now reside in dallas,but i gotta give you 100% props man you killed that boy and other battle rappers needed to see this shit happend... and even taking the time to break it down makes you even more lethal .. that battle was one of the best i have ever seen since watching URL battles.... you made up for cannibus and some of the other legends that might of F'd up and was suppose to get busy...hopefully you battle again.. it was and educational slaughter ... peace

Lmao I was joked out at 7:07 the funniest thing is if you never seen Lux battle you would think he raps like he did against Calicoe all the time but the whole thing was part of his scheme. Thats what makes it so genius cause he was so in character you didn't even know he was in character.
Lux broke down Calicoe in a way that was unseen or unheard of and he wanted to give the fans an insight on how he did it and where it all came from.

Man i definitely did not catch all of these the first time I listened to his verses. This makes it even worse of a loss than I initially thought.
Its crazy how hard these bars hit before you get Lux's breakdown and now shit just makes Calicoe's loss look even worse

Too humble, he explained ones that i already understood OR got from other you tubers. Except for the 2nd part of the Ray Ray scheme. I didnt remember the kid kidding hit with at Shotgun, but i remembered the radio stealing and stuff. the most powerful one is the Picture frame scheme. alot of people got that one right away, but i didnt for days until a lady did a recap on youtube and explained it. i was ecstatic about it. he deserves all the good that is coming his way. Out of all the more complex lines he had in this battle, I can't believe people suggested that he break down the lines in this vid. If anything, those were the ones that you got off the first listen. He had wayyyyy better bars that could have been explained compared to the ones in this video, even though those lines were still just as good. I felt those were more self explanatory.
That South Central bar people probably didn't get bcoz they didn't see the movie. They either too young or not into the culture. If u truly wanna b a spectator of this sport u gotta start learning what the games really about in order to fully enjoy it or else u gon b totally confused once the play unfolds. Great Lyrics take time and dedication and I personally commend Lux for taking the time and effort to create such an exquisite portrait!

Bliss vs. G Whizz, that battle if you haven't seen it. Lux's wordplay reminds me of that battle. Bliss and Lux, galaxies over heads, some of the bars. If you don't listen and have the context pre-knowledge before they even begin to finish the bar, then you'll lose the message in it...

To me, bars like the ones Lux used in this battle were refreshing. It gets your brain tingling and thinking in new ways. Knowledge ain't wack y'all. What does the acronym S.M.A.C.K stand for. after all......
I totally agree with you on that. It's the whole "Dumb it down" concept for the mass consumers. People want simplified shit they can easily relate to without thinking. But he can find a balance to maintain his lyrical integrity, and still be commercially viable. Some of the most gifted lyricists managed...Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, AZ, Jadakiss, etc. I wouldn't necessarily classify all those named as God-flow, but the overall lyricism puts them in a class by themselves. Lux will find his way.

The probably with most of the fans who don't get it is that they are just looking for one liners. They don't give the lyrics a chance to develop and trying to break down bars 1 or 2 at a time. But with rappers like Lux it might take 12 bars for it all to come together as one big "FUCK!!" moment. But they don't catch it because they are trying to catch one liners.

There was no way he forgot the lyrics... it was memorized too well. He picked it back up where he left off from and his verse was fluent, no other stumbles, didn't miss a syllable. He choked on purpose and it was still a bodybag, genius

"That's why I'm up here doing what I want..." The fake choke was art and high drama, not typical battle rap strategy - that's why alot of people didn't catch it.
